 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: December 19th 2008
Likes: laps, cuddles, being with her person, leaping at falling leaves

Pet-Peeves: rain, nail trims

Favorite Toy: small rubber jingle ball

Favorite Food: cooked meat of any kind, any time, any place

Favorite Walk: She is getting used to sights and sounds of the outdoors and learning not to balk on lead.

Best Tricks: sweet angel hugs

Arrival Story: Amy was picked up as a stray in central Georgia with her buddy, Emily. New Rattitude saved both of them when their time was up at the shelter. They share the same foster home and Amy looks after Emily, who has been sick.

Bio: Sweet Amy is very young at just over a year old. She is only 10 lbs. and small at about 9" at the shoulder. She is long and lithe like a cat, preferring laps for resting, but taking backs and shoulders if she can get them. She likes to nuzzle her person softly, cheek to cheek. Amy is quite aware of her irresistible charms and has no qualms about using them to get what she wants. She definitely has princess aspirations. She seems okay with young children if they are gentle with her, but she is too delicate for the average young child. Amy didn't like her foster brother and sisters at first, but is now a great play buddy to most of them. Her tolerance for cats in the home is unknown. However, Amy is a good candidate for a cat home because she is small, not pushy and has a moderately low prey drive. She is crate trained and almost 100% house trained. Amy may need to stay on quality, grain-free kibble if fed kibble. We don't know for sure, but circumstantial evidence is that she's allergic to grains or something else in other kinds of kibble. She has red eyes and eye discharge when on that food, but has no symptoms when switched back to high quality food.

Forums Motto: You May Call Me Princess

Medical: Healthy. All New Rattitude dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped, wormed, heartworm negative or in treatment, on heartworm preventive, and given all other necessary health care.

I'm pretty excited to be going to my new home because my foster buddy went to live there last month and my new folks understand me. I got the spa treatment tonight, so I must be going home tomorrow! About the time I got tucked into a heated blanket to dry off, I figured it out. (Apparently, I'm going to be missed.) Although, when I asked for a mug of hot beef broth, no one brought a tray with my order. Maybe my new folks will provide better service.
My foster mom just laughs and says that they've been warned. We'll see. I'm devastatingly cute, you know.

My adoptive home just didn't work out. So I'm back in my foster home and still looking for my forever home.

Amy is with her new family today. One of her new sisters is also a Rat Terrier and Amy is so excited about it, she's been a bit of a pest. But these things balance out over time and they'll be great friends after they get used to each other.
Amy was quite the popular little girl and she got the best home!
