I love to chew bones and rawhide, or frozen raw fish.

Favorite Food:
I'm actually a fairly fussy eater. I like meat and fish. I don't really care for fish oil too much, although most of my buddies seem to love it!

Favorite Walk:
My favorite spot in the yard is a big stump pile called "dog mountain"

Best Tricks:
When we're getting hooked up to the sled I can't stand waiting, and the excitement is just too much, so I grab the main line in my mouth and pull on it as hard as I can!

Arrival Story:
Mauja and Shida were littermates that I obtained from an individual owner. They had been an 'accidental' litter. I went to see this litter, mainly out of curiosity. Their owner had both parents and a couple siblings from a previous litter. The adults were very striking, physically, and their owner was totally devoted to their care and well being. I was so impressed, that I wound up taking a couple home. I took a brother of theirs, too, but he was unfortunately killed in a trap last winter, by an unethical trapper that sets a trap line in a populated area! He and Misha had escaped from the fenced yard, and gone into the woods in search of little critters to chase (the dog's favorite pastime). Mauja and Shida are very tightly bonded with oneanother.

Bio:
Mauja is a very good little sled dog. She has a really melodious howl, too. She likes to curl up on the carpet inside as much as the others do. She loves chasing her sister up and down dog mountain, when they're loose in the 'big' yard.
