Birthday: January 1st 2004 Likes: plays enegetically then sleeps... Pet-Peeves: squirrels in our trees Favorite Toy: anything soft and stuffed Favorite Food: she likes any kind of treat...eats dry foods only Favorite Walk: away from other dogs or people Arrival Story: Lola was rescued by my daughter from a shelter in San Diego. The dog was friendly and playful at the shelter. My daughter has since returned to our home as a college student. Our problem is Lola is totally incompatible with our older dog that lives with us. She is very aggressive toward him. Lola herself continues to be very friendly and loving to us and my daughter. She is however, very protective and barks aggressively at anyone who comes to the door. We cannot keep the dogs together. We hope that Lola can find a home that works for her. If we didn't have the older dog, we would keep Lola and work with her to curb or control her aggression. She is house trained, and follows basic commands. My daughter also had a cat at her home with Lola, and they played well together. However, we aren't sure about her with our cat so we keep them apart. Bio: Lola weights 32 pounds and is brindle in color. She was adopted about 18 months ago. We don't know her history before adoption. She has been seen by vets and is in good health, with all shots current. We have kenneled her at times when we were away and she was manageable by the staff, but kept separate from the other dogs due to her aggressive barking. I've Been On Dogster Since:
