Leave a bone for Maggie

Nicknames: Magpie, Baby, Puppy, Vicious, Mouth, Bartok.

Quick Bio:
Likes: Barking at any noise heard, EATING, laying around on anyone with a lap, sleeping, going wherever Mommy goes, and sitting with Grampa.

Pet-Peeves: People hitting Mommy, going to the vet's, strangers, children, cold weather or snow, and people touching her mouth (she has no teeth).

Favorite Toy: Her kitty cousin, Harley.

Favorite Food: Wet food or soft cat food (thanks Amanda); anything Grampa is willing to give...especially meat.

Favorite Walk: She prefers to be carried.

Best Tricks: Barking and pretending she's bigger than she really is.

Arrival Story: Maggie belonged to my stepsister, Rita. When Rita passed away in 2003 from Cystic Fibrosis, Maggie went to my stepmother, Lana. I had a black lab/German Shepard mix named Bo-Bo at the time. When I came to live with my in-laws, I couldn't keep Bo-Bo because he was too big. So my dad kept Bo-Bo for me and I took Maggie, who I was equally attached to. Maggie was abused throughout her life by my other stepsister and has no teeth. But now Maggie is a happy dog who doesn't even act her age:-D

Bio: Even though Maggie is a teacup Chihuahua, she *thinks* she is the biggest and baddest thing around. In fact, she is more afraid of something her own size, like a toy poodle, than she is of a full-grown Newfie. To be honest, she's really a Great Dane in disguise;-D

Wow. A couple weekends ago Mommy took me camping with her. I didn't like it too much. I had to be on a leash the whole time instead of just following her around like I usually do. And I couldn't go in the house because the house wasn't there. And it was hot and on the last day it stormed and Mommy had to put me in the truck while they packed up. I didn't like being away from Mommy like that. And they went into stores and I couldn't go in. I hate being away from Mommy. But the food was really good...I wouldn't eat my own food, though. I don't eat outside and I didn't wanna stay in the tent or camper thing alone. A lot of people walked by us. I didn't like them, but Mommy kept telling me to stay quiet because we would get kicked out. Well, it was definitely an interesting weekend and a new experience. But it's not something I wanna do again.

Mommy took me to the vet's yesterday after she came home. I thought we were just going for a ride or to Petsmart or something. But instead we went to the vet's. I didn't realize where we were until we went into this room and Mommy set me down on a hard, cold, shiny table. I hated it!! I was so scared, especially when the lady tried to take me from my Mommy. Then this other lady took me and they poked me a few times. It hurt. Mommy was really worried...saying something about cysts and tumors. Then we went out shopping. Mommy and Auntie Amanda talked about me and "spaying"...whatever that is. And then when we got home Mommy got all happy because the vet called and said that my lump was binine. Today we went trail walking today. It was warm, so I walked and ran the whole way. It was fun. Well, off to eat my new food.

Mommy told me the other day that I'm going to see the vet. Last time I heard that word I had to go and sit on a metal table. It was cold and I was scared. I was shaking and trying to get Mommy to hide me. I hope it's not the same place. She said that I might have cancer or something and need to get some shots and an evaluation to find out if I really do have cancer or not. I don't know if I want to go. Well, almost time for bed. Night.
