Went to the BIG vet school for more tests!

Hello!
Well, I finally found out what it's like to go to school! Vet school!

First we went into a big room with lots of dogs and their people sitting in chairs. Right away I thought I would let them know who's boss, so I naturally started my best BIG DOG imitation--barking, growling, lunging, snapping, and just generally showing them my WORST side. I just don't understand Mom, though. She punished me, and the vet school lady said I had to go be by myself in a room. I was just trying to show those other dogs who's boss....but Mom said I'm going to be shown who's boss the next time!

Anyway, the vet people were very nice, but poke-happy. I got poked and prodded, things stuck all over my chest and xrays and everything. Lots of people came and listened to my heart beat, which was completely normal (I stopped having the rapid heart beat about 2 weeks ago). To make a long story short, they all just decided to wait and see if it happened again. Which made Mom very happy! Anytime she gets out of there without spending THOUSANDS of dollars, she's happy!

Mom says I have to go to the dog park tomorrow to see if I can be "socialized". Heck with that, I say! I wonder what she is going to do with the squirt gun, though. I think she is a little old to be playing with things like that!

Tomorrow should be interesting, I'd say....

So THAT'S what "tests" are!

I was wondering what the vet meant by "tests"!!!!

Tests are when a nice lady takes a picture of your chest! Tests are also having wires stuck to your chest while a machine spits out paper! And (I didn't like this) tests are having a needle poke in the leg and someone taking away a little bit of your BLOOD!!!!

"Tests" are followed by outrageous treats and everyone hugging you, too--so maybe if I have to have more "tests", it won't be tooooo bad!

If only Mom didn't seem so worried...she is waiting for the answers to the tests...

Now that I know how to type!

Well, since I just learned to use the computer and type, I think it is time to start my very own diary (thanks Ben, for teaching me!)

I am a fearless, ferocious Doberman---well, I WILL be one day! I already have the fearless part down pat. I have no fear of anything or anybody and just LOVE to bolt away from Mom and run out into the woods as fast as I can without looking back! It peeves her to no end...I think it is a great game.

Lately Mom has been very worried about me, though. She felt my little heart beating the other day, and it was very fast--so fast it scared her. As I had to go to the vet anyway, she asked him what he thought. The vet got a scared look, too after listening to my heart...and I have to have some tests tomorrow, whatever "tests" are.

But I'm sure whatever happens tomorrow, doggie treats will be involved so I am not too upset!

I'll write back when I can get some more computer time! Mom wants on.
