After a dreadful performance yesterday (but still a qualifying score of 71), Chelsea managed to pull herself together to earn a 93 and a 4th place today (10/20/07) giving her two of the three legs needed in order to earn a Rally Novice (RN) title.

I am now officially OkieDokie's Babydog Chelsea NJP, CGC!!!! WOOHOO! I have to get one more leg to get my NAP title (hopefully tomorrow) and my owner moved me up from novice preferred to open preferred, and that'll just be a try-it-and-see. I'll try my hardest!! My neighbor is going to take a picture of me with all of my beautiful ribbons, and maybe prizes too!

I start a tracking class tonight! I can't wait, as I love the sound of it. I get to use my nose and eat lots of treats! What could be better (besides agility)!

Day 1: Double Q'd Woohoo! Now have a leg towards my NAP and NJP titles.
Day 2: NQ'd due to handler errors. I tried to tell my owner to go this way, but she insisted on trying to go a different way and I knocked a bar.

Nadac agility trial, Nov. 20, '05

Finally, I get to use the computer! Woof, woof, hooray! Anyway, I went to my first NADAC agility trial on November 20th, and had a ball! I ran twice in Regular and Tunnelers, and once in Touch 'n' go and jumpers. Still no Q's, but I did get two second place ribbons (both from regular) and one fourth place (from TnG)! I was one of two Novice A dogs, so the second places weren't that exciting, but the fourth was out of all novice dogs combined, which was at least 16 total, so I am most proud of that win. I'll be going to another AKC agility trial (2 days) in March, and am 99.9% sure that I'll finally qualify! Another trial is in April, also AKC, this one will be for three days. Wish me luck! I'll try to remember to sneak on while my owner's not looking and keep everyone up-to-date.

Only one run today!! Though, I still NQ'd. Oh, well, much better than yesterday's runs. My human keeps getting more and more advice from people, and that helps her make it easy for me to understand what she wants me to do. I think I'll do well at the next trial I go to. Practice AND experience make for clean runs. Yours truely, Chelsea

July 16th was the first day of runs at the Competition Dogs of the Ozarks UKC agility trial. I ran twice in AGI, but NQ'd both times. Oh, well! I had a lot of fun, and that's all that really matters. My human did pick up lots of tips and advice, so that we might do better in future agility trials. Every run I get a little better, so maybe I'll get a title someday. Yours truely, Chelsea

Late update

A rather late update... I NQ'd on both runs at my first agility trial. I did well in jumpers, but I wouldn't take the very last jump. (It had a weird timer thing on it... scary!) Also, in regular, I decided to jump out of the ring and go see my human's dad who had just sat down in the stands. My human wasn't too pleased, but it was only my first time every running. Now my human's dad knows to stay away. Still, lots of fun and more experience to be learned. Yours truely, Chelsea
