Cuddling with our Mom & Dad. We like to put them in the Poodle Zone

The cats and squirrels who try to come into our backyard. Oh, we can't forget those birdies too!

Favorite Toy:
We love all stuffed animals, balls and blankies.

Favorite Food:
We love it raw!

Favorite Walk:
Who wants to walk, we love to go for car rides with Mom.

Best Tricks:
Teddy loves to bow. Penny likes to act cute and rub her face all over blankies. Rusty is such a boy and loves the ball. Ruby can shake right and left hands on command!

Arrival Story:
Since I'm the oldest, I'll talk for the group. I'm Teddy and I'm 8 years old. Penny is 6 and she and I share the same Mom, but have a different Dad. Rusty is 5 and is our grand nephew. Ruby is 4 and is also our 1/2 sister. Our biological Mom sort of got around! So, when people see our picture or meet us, they always ask Mom if we are related. So, after Mom & Dad lost their other doggies (Webster the beagle and Shelby the Rott/Sheppard) within 3 weeks of each other, they just couldn't stand the empty house. Mom found a breeder (Linda) who happened to get me back from the family I originally lived with until I was 2. Dad wanted time, but agreed to go with Mom to meet me. Being the sensitive, intuitive boy I am, I knew I needed to win Dad over the second they came in. I went right up to Dad. Dad got on the ground with me and I knew I had to get in his lap. I stayed there for 2 hours! Where I lived before, they didn't really like to hug and love me too much, so it was dreamy when Dad cuddled, petted and let me stay so close to him for 2 hours. I wouldn't let Dad put me down and Linda let me go home with Mom & Dad that night. While Mom & Dad were meeting me, Dad saw Penny. She was supposed to be a show dog, but Linda felt she was a little small. When Penny came in, she was in her show coat and her poodle top knot was in her face. She thought Dad was her Dad. When she figured out it wasn't, she barked and ran away! Dad immediately fell in love with his Princess. Mom and Dad both knew I'd like a companion, and we were lucky to have Penny came home a week later. Penny and I loved our new home and Mom & Dad showered us with all kinds of love. We were best buddies. A few months later, while Mom was visiting Linda, she met Rusty. Now, Rusty was born just a few days after Penny and I first came home. When Mom met Rusty, he was 7 months old and had a little blond streak in his top knot. Mom thought he was so cute and called him the "little surfer dude". Well, Linda was looking for a new home for Rusty and we just all got along so well. Mom and Dad talked about it and decided Rusty could come be part of our family. Rusty totally loved Penny from the get go. He thought she was so pretty. You know, the big "pretty" sister! Rusty and Penny really taught me how to play since I didn't even know how to pick up a toy when I first came home. Mom always kept in touch with Linda and when one of Linda's other girls had babies, we babysat Ruby for a few weeks. Ruby was born in Oregon. She stayed with Linda for a while when she was just a little puppy and was supposed to go back to Oregon. Well, Mom & Dad fell in love with Ruby and so did we. We all decided that Ruby could come live with us permanently instead of going back to Oregon to find a new home. That's the basic story our how we all came to be a family!

I can't forget to tell you we also live with Piper the Cockatiel. Piper has been with Mom & Dad a very long time (16 years!). She getting a little cranky in her old age. I like Piper and don't care if she sits next to me. Ruby doesn't pay much attention to her, but likes to eat the food she drops on the ground for us. I always catch Penny and Rusty smacking their lips when they look at Piper. I tell them they aren't cats, but it's in our genes. We were originally bred to be water retrievers. That's why some of our relatives have those fufu haircuts. The pompoms are actually to protect their joints when they went in the water! See, look at all the stuff we can teach you about poodles!
