Arrival Story:
It was a typical summer day when Dad came home early with a carton - and inside was a 5 month old dachshund pup! She cried until she fell asleep, but when she woke up she was the friendliest dog we ever met.

Bio:
Oreo loves everyone. When she gave birth to 8 puppies, she showed them off proudly to all who visited her, and would even move aside to give them a better view! She is a wonderful mother and is very careful with her babies. One of her pups, Abby, was born with only 3 legs and needed milk supplements in addition to Oreo's milk. One night mom woke up to the sound of a dog whining outsie her door. Oreo was outside and called mom to follow her, and there, halfway up the stairs, was Abby, demanding to be fed. Oreo knew that Abby needed the milk that we gave her more than her own and didn't stop fussing until she was sure that we took care of Abby. That and more has made her a true Wonder Dog!
