Arrival Story:
Chloe was the second prettiest pup in the litter and we were very sad because we knew we had to give her to our neighbor. But then her hair started to fall out and no one knew why!! Maybe coz she didn't want to leave. We couldn't give her away looking like that so we kept her, even when her coat grew back all shiny and black.

Bio:
Ever since she could walk she would seek out our beagle, Bailey, to play with - even though he is 50 times her size. But despite that gigntic difference, he's very gentle with her and they're the best of friends.

I'm a Hero!

What an exciting day! My tail can't stop wagging! It's wagging so fast that my entire lower half is wagging too :p But it was also a scary day.

Today, my Dog Mommy Oreo and I went through our doggie door (which we made ourselves by ramming against the screen sliding door - that way, we never have to bother our people if we want to go out for some exploring. they don't seem very grateful, though!) and out into the back garden. Our favorite thing to do is chase frogs and dig holes. Mommy Oreo was digging this amazing, huge, deep hole that went down so deep, we couldn't see anything but her butt and her tail pointing straight up at the sky. I was digging my own hole too, when Mommy Oreo called me excitedly.

"Chloe! I found treasure!" she cried.

I hurried over to her side and saw this thick, black rope-like thing still half-buried in the soil. "What is it?" I asked.

"Maybe it's a long hot dog," she said, and bit into it. But instead of eating it, she began to shake. Her eyes were wide and frightened.

"Let go!" I whined. But she couldn't! She couldn't even move! The thing in her mouth was buzzing loudly. Whatever it was that had her, I knew that if I bit it or her that it would get me too. So I decided to bark at the top of my lungs! I barked and barked and barked and barked! My barks brought the whole household running! Yaya Maritess reached us first and grabbed Oreo, but a shock went through her and she dropped her. Oreo still couldn't move. Then Mama Annette (our person mommy) shouted, "Shut the electricity!" Daddy Ricky came to the rescue and pulled the switches. Then he bravely picked up Mommy Oreo. To our relief she was able to let go of the bad black rope! Daddy Ricky brought her in the house and Mama Annette picked me up and brought me in too.

"You saved her," she smiled. "If you didn't bark, we would never have known that Oreo was in trouble! What a brave little toaster you are."

And so today, from being the runt of the pack I became Chloe, Hero Dog! :)

Oh yes, Mommy Oreo was fine. A few minutes of rest and she was back on her feet. She had enough of exploring for the day theough!
