Wow! I don't remember ever being picked before. This is so cool!
Well I am doing great. Mom says I need to be on a diet. Rrrrrr I like to eat. I don't want to be on a diet. I really love my mom but when she starts talking D I E T it is not something that makes me happy.
Mom left and came home with another tiny dog. Her name is Millie and she is strange. She walks in circles, round and round or she sleeps. Mom said she was a crated dog her whole life and dogs who have to live in crates get "Kennel Crazed". Poor little girl. She is scared of everyone. Can you imagine a dog being scared of my mom and dad? Wow! She also is scared to walk on our floors. Mom said we need to be very patient with her and "give her time and space". OK She is going to another foster home this weekend with all Chihuahuas. Maybe she won't be so scared there. Mom let her sleep with her last night. That seems to have helped her to feel safer. My mom is really a dog person. I was scared when she and dad rescued me and my family. She showed me she loved me and now I am not scare of anything, ALMOST. :)

My Diary

Mom doesn't write in my diary much anymore. I think she is just wishing nobody would notice I am here. hahaha She loves me so much and I love her back and 100 times more. I really don't think I will ever leave here. Last night I was curled up in a bed and dad said "Look at your boy". Mom said "I love him so much it almost hurts. I will never let him be adopted". That's it! I'm here forever or till Jesus calls my name or her name.

I am the only Dachshund here now except Heidi who is a mix. Mom almost took in 3 at once from a kill shelter in another city. Luckly someone in rescue took them in there. All have heart worms and will need treatment for that. All 3 were boys and left at the shelter by a breeder. In fact I heard mom say they lefet 3 boys and 3 girls. The 3 girls went to a rescue but looked like nobody was going to save the boys till the last minute. Mom was so upset about them. Well they are safe now.

We had gotter down in numbers here. Dad has to go for surgery to repair a hernia. Several of my dog room mates have had a hernia. Little Tiffany had one repaired when she was living here. Mom wants to be able to take care dad really well. :) We love our dad.

Mom ran out Tuesday and came back with Sierra. She is a tiny little long haired Chi. She sure is cute. Mom said she is only staying with us till she gets in for a spay on Monday and then going to a longer term foster home. Ya right! She is mom's shadow and sticks to her like velcro. We will see I guess.

Diary Pick 4/30/13

Well I am all over the dental cleaning and finished the antibiotic I had to take. It was not so bad till right at the end. Would you believe Bentley and I had a BATH and nails cut, ears cleaned and our teeth cleaned. That realaxer shot we had sure worked. When all that stuff was done we took a nap and then I was 100% awake and the lady wanted to take me out. I told her NO WAY! She didn't listen so I gave her a warning grawl and a snap. She left me alone. Then later Dad came in and got me. I heard mom's voice and I was so excited. When dad came in to get me I was so happy. The lady took Bentley out of his kennel and walked around the office with him. I said NO and stayed in my kennel.It's all over for another year now. Thank Goodness!

Diary Pick! Wow that Dogster team sure knows how to make a guy feel happy. I needed something to make me smile. Mom's been upset for 24 hours. She knows of 5 beautiful Dachshunds who are in a kill shelter. They all have heart worms and the shelter won't adopt them out so only a rescue group can save them. Mom is sending their pictures and story to all her rescue friends asking them to please help them. She wants to go get one little girl to take Kate's space here but she cries when she thinks about it. She said she does not know how to go get ONE and leave 4 of her family members to die. There are just too many of us here already so she can't take all 5. Poor family. Poor mom. Why don't people fix their dogs?
