Arrival Story:
Last week a young lady turned her in at the pound. She found her in the parking lot after shopping. She was hopping around on 3 legs and the one front left foot was like a club more that a foot. The animal control vet said it was an old injury that had not been taken care of. On top of that she has very recently had puppies. Maybe within 36 hours. No puppies were in sight so nobody knows where they are. She stole the hearts of many of the staff with her friendly, sweet personality. Obviously painful as her leg is she does not snap, or get upset with anyone. She is just a little black dog that needs help. There are 2 donors who will share her medical expenses, I will foster her and get her on her feet and we will all work to get her a good home. Today is the first day of her new life. It will be better than the old one. We will see to that.
Bio:
Took Beauty from the pound to the vet. She was at the pound for one week. Her leg/foot is raw and sore. She is on antibiotics and will have her surgery in 7 to 10 days. She is heartworm negative! YEAH! That means she will zoom right to her surgery and then on to her spay. She will be seen by a wonderful, highly skilled vet here and she is going to be OK. After all who would not want to adopt a sweet little black dog with 3 legs?

Beauty loves her new home and family. Her brother Charlie is her best friend too. They go walking every day with their parents and have so much fun looking for little critters tii chase. They spend the days on the patio and on the couch. Beauty even goes up and down the stairs now. They love her very much. It is a very happy ending or rather beginning for Beauty. She has just the home she deserves.

I went to Petsnmart with mom yesterday. I got treats and saw lots of dogs and people and little kids too. I like it there. Everyone stops to look at me. Mom says it's cause I'm beautiful. I think it's cause they are curious about how I lost my leg. Wel it's fun anyway. Well the man who wanted me last wk came in and told mom they had a death in the family and had to go out of town for the week. They asked if Mom and dad can do my home visit Friday. I'm going with them and if mom says it's ok I will stay ther. That will be my new home. I am scared but excited too. I can't wait to meet my new brother. He's a Doxie mix like my friend Heidi. I like Heidi a lot. Well we will see how it goes Friday. I am getting adopted! Wow!

I get to go to Petsmart with Mom and Dad tomorrow. I get to meet lots of people and other dogs too. I get to smell new stuff and it's all fun. I might even get a furever home. Paws crossed!!
