Arrival Story:
Emma was found wandering the roads in rural western Ohio. She was at a high-kill shelter when I saw her photo on craigslist and then petfinder. I fell in love with her and eventually drove the 7 hours to Ohio to stop her from being euthanized and give her a chance at a happy life. That was just over a year ago and she is a completely different dog now. The bottom three photos are Emma right after adoption: small, skinny and scarred. Now her scars have healed, her coat is magnificent, and she has filled out.

Bio:
Over the weekend Emma killed my parents' cat, and as I have 2 cats I feel that I need to rehome her. She has also been showing some minor aggression towards other dogs, and needs someone who understands this and can work with her. I, unfortunately, need a dog I can take places with me and trust in different situations (I am single and rent my home) as I have no one to leave her with when I go anywhere and I don't know how she would do at a kennel. Emma has never shown aggression towards humans, and is an extremely sweet and loving dog. She is an excellent companion, always up for an active adventure or for a snuggle on the couch. As a big (66 lbs) black dog I know her chances at a shelter are not good and I am hoping to find her a cat-free foster home or forever home.
