Long Past Due Update

I might not be as far along in my Agility carreer as sister Sheila, but I have accomplished quite a bit already (after only 3 USDAA trials):
Got my Starters Jumpers and my Starters Pairs title in USDAA and I'm not far away from my first title in CPE, the CL-1.

Mom finally figured out a way for me to get those darn Dogwalk contacts, but she still has to work hand on the weave polls entrace. But I'm a faster weaver than sister Sheila.

Other that that: they say that I am a very good dog nanny and that I take very good care of our foster puppies that join us once in a while. Considering, that I was an aggressive little bitch when I was 6 months old, I've come a looong way! I'm sure Agility helped and that we are having the foster dogs around as well.

Allright, gotta go play with the ball now.

Sheila told me that mommy told her that we are gonna get another foster dog on Sunday!! His name is Glynn and I heard that he is really cute. I'm sure I'm gonna like him. It's not a puppy this time; he's already 4 years old. I hope he'll play with me. Because Sheila hardly ever plays with me. She just hangs out on the couch waiting for mommy to come home. Boring! So boring that I had to chew up the water bowl this morning and mom had to clean up the wet mess on the floor when she came home for lunch. She hasn't told daddy yet.

I'm working on learning the weave polls, by the way. And I think I'm almost getting it. If there hadn't been that much rain in the past 2 months, we would have had more classes. But because of the rain, we've only had a couple of lessons each month and I think I'm getting way behind. Nevertheless, mom is thinking of taking me ot a fun match in May in Livermore. I'm gonna do great!! :-)

Whew....yesterday was a lot going on!

We went to an agility trial in Santa Rosa and I was allowed to come along, with Oscar, to watch Sheila run. And I wanted to run too!! But they wouldn't let me. Mom says that I will have to practice a few more months, and I might be ready for a fun match in late spring. I better start pacticing those weave polls....

But it was soon exciting. I had to stay in my crate for quite some time, but they let me out once in a while and I was playing with the ball in this huge muddy field with Sheila. And sometimes mom took me to the ring to watch all the other dogs and I got really excited. Mom says she would have to work with me a little more to become a little more calm when around a lot of people. But it was soo exciting!!!

Oscar came too. But that weenie was scared and didn't want to leave the crate. Mom and dad had to pull him out a couple of times. But when we were at the field, he was running with us and finally had some fun.

And he liked Frisco, mom's sister in law's dog!!! Man, I was jealous! I couldn't let him go near Oscar. Oscar is my buddy, just mine!! And then Frisco tried to hump me!! MOI!!! Naaaah,.... better don't do that to me. I had to snap at him and he ran away. But I guess mom didn't like that and she put me back in the crate in the car for the last 1/2 hour before we want back home. Fortunately, Sheila and Oscar waited also with me in the car, so I wasn't that alone.

Anyways, I better continue practising that agility thing so I can join sister Sheila pretty soon!!

I love the new puppies!

If they asked me, I would keep them, definitely! They play with me all the time and mom says that I am so gentle with them. Frank and Perry are lots of fun, especially Perry. Perry wrestles with me and plays tug-of-war. And Frank is just cute.

In the morning, we play "whack-a-mole": both crawl under the bed and I sit on top of it and when they stick out their head I whack them. I think that's funny, and they do too!

Anyways, I wanna keep them..... :-(

My Humans are sooo mean :-(

Last Sunday, the girls went in the jacuzzi and put the white sensor disk that triggers the "zappy-collar" on the chair next to the jacuzzi, which is on the way to Dakota's dog house where sister Sheila and I usually hang out during the day.

Well, it happend that the girls forget to put the disk back ONTO the jacuzzi when they were done and the disk remained on the chair. And then, on Monday, mom put the "Zappy-Collar" back on and guess what happened: everytime I wanted to go to the doghouse to hang out with Sheila I got shocked!!!!! Autsch!!!!!! they are sooo mean!!!

When mom came home she noticed that I wouldn't follow her to the doghouse......until she spotted the white disk on the chair.....then she knew.....and she felt sooooo bad for me. Poor girl :-(

Anyways, she finally managed to coax me back with some food and step by step until I realized that the "zapping" was over and could walk safely to the doghouse.

But mom still feels bad. And dad too. Really bad. Poor baby.

Jersey, who will stay with Rocky and Crystal next weekend because mom and Sheila are having a 3-day agility seminar and dad is in Tahoe with the Boys.

I like Fritos - or: what happens if you leave me alone

Fritos are yummy as a late night snack, especially when its a half full bag, one that Kelly left in the family room when she went to sleep. I ate everything, each little crumb. And I still got breakfast, because dad had no idea that I ate all the Fritos when he got up on Sunday. Kelly told him :-)

Well, that's what happens when I am not tired enough during the night because Sheila and mom are gone all weekend, without me, and only dad plays with me once in a while. But he took me everywhere in the car: to Homedepot, to get the newspaper, to Crissy's dad. I like car rides. But I like playing with the ball even more:

Yesterday afternoon, Nicole and Kelly and Crissy washed mom'd and dad's car outside and we played with the hose and with the ball. And I wrecked the Volleyball :-( Now, I can't play with it anymore....it's all completely deflated, hopeless. I have to wait until mom gets a new one at Walmart, they're pretty cheap there.

I know left and right now :-) I turn left when mom says left and right when mom says right. I even did it over a jump and then left and over another jump and another.

I was soooo good!

Well...the yummy sausage I got everytime I did it right help a lot....

Jersey, who sat on mom's pillow this morning after she played outside in the grass and was all muddy on her belly....

Yesterday's Class

Woah....I kicked some butt yesterday, mom says. It was my last lesson of the 2nd 6-week session for agility. And we had to jump a 10-hurdle oval - off leash!!! twice in a row!!! AND I MADE IT!!! Mom's so proud of me.
I was flying over the 22' bars like an elegant dolphin, didn't knock a bar and took the turns as if I had been on a leash. And man I was fast.

Fun, this agility thing. Lots of fun :-)

I passed the test!!!

Yipeee!! I passed the test, mom and dad said. I spent a whole weekend with them and we stayed in a motel for 2 nights and were at the agility trial in Woodland and I sat in my crate with hardly any crying. I was soooo good :-)

But man, that was sooo exciting: so many dogs and people and different places. And mom and dad took me out of the crate at least once per hour and played with me with the frisbee or the ball and then I had some water and then I went back into my crate and rested. And then I went with dad to watch Sheila's runs....and couldn't sit still. Dad had to hold me really tight because I wanted to run with Sheila. They bought a harness for me, because I almost chocked myself with the regular collar.

We even went to a restaurant with a patio in Sacramento on Saturday evening. And Sheila and I sat nicely next to mom and dad and Jennifer while they were eating. And then we were very tired and slept all night. And we also slept all the way home because it was such an exciting weekend.

Dad said that we should do that again soon....because Sheila and I were sooo good.

"Sigh...".

A lot is going on....

Well, where should I begin:

First, the good things: I'm having lots of fun doing that agility stuff once a week. Mom takes me to this place where there's a lot of grass, some other doggies and these weird things that I have to jump over. I can do those now without leash....most of the time. Mom sometimes yells at me because sometimes I would rather play with the other dogs that pay attention to her and jump over the jump in the direction she wants me to go :-) But it's really cool: I get all excited when we arrive because I know that I'm gonna have fun.

Now, the not good things: I have to wear a Zap-Collar during the day. Mom and Dad bought a new Jacuzzi-Cover (I chewed up the old one) and I am no longer allowed to go near it. So they bought this collar that zapps me when I go closer than a couple of feet to the Jacuzzi. It doesn't hurt me (mom tried it our before), but it scares the hell out of me and I'm no going near there anymore, no man!! Too bad that sister Sheila still hangs out up there and I can't sit next to her. But mom says that she is the good girl and I'm the devil dog...
Mom also bought a new big crate for me. I didn't have to go into a crate since I was 4 months old! And now they re-train me!!! Mom says that I need to start liking my crate again because she wants to take me to those agility trials and the only way to keep me out-of-trouble it put me in the crate once in a while. Mom says that Sheila is happily waiting in her crate between the runs and all the other doggies as well. I don't have to sleep in the crate but mom is giving me my food in there and sometimes even closes the door. But I've been a good girl and haven't cried yet in there. When I don't cry, mom lets me out eventually.

Otherwise, I am a very sweet girl, mom says. I am always happy and cute and funny and I love to play with the ball outside. And last weekend we had a party at our house and 15 strangers were there. But Sheila and I were soooo good and everybody liked us. We didn't annoy anybody and I didn't jump up on anybody. And was very very tired when they finally left around midnight.

And guess what: I heard that I could go with mom and dad and Sheila to the Woodland USDAA trial next weekend, and sleep in a Motel with them for the first time! (I better practice good behaviour - otherwise they would not want to take me anymore....)
