Hi pals,

Mum is home for the fourth day in a row! Extra long walks, playing outside and inside all day. A guy could get used to this. I did a good job of protecting the meatz on the grill on Saturday but it was a large steak that took a while and I got a bit bored and maybe dozed off, for just a second or two. Nobody got near my area of protection though, so it was good work. I've also been supervising the power washing of the patio. Today I will oversee more power washing on the back of the house. The crew has been slacking a bit and complaining about the hot weather. I just go into my outside office and rest on the cool concrete while the ceiling fan moves the air to help me keep my cool.

I got my summer haircut Saturday, just in time for all this heat. The report card from the groomer said I was a good boy the whole time but I know I did a lot of wiggling, and they had to bring me up front before Mum was done at the register because I didn't like the way a new doggie was looking at me and I told him so!

Anyway pals, Mum asked me to check with all of you to get your informed opinions. She is talking about maybe a brother or sister to join the family. They would keep me company while Mum is at work and we could play all day or as long as we both wanted too. She said we wouldn't want a baby but somebody that needs a home and is old enough to hold their own with the bundle of fun that I am. So what do you think?

Oh, there a couple of new pictures. One showing me at work and the other caught me in an off moment.

Take care in the hot weather this summer. Bark at you soon.

Duncan

You had a great weekend! My Daddy is off for 4 days too.
I can't believe I am going to say this but I think a brother or sister would be fun for you to have.
Be sure you meet the potential sibling to make sure you don't tear each other up! :-O

Hey Duncan! I think it depends on the individual Scottie. Ernie go not gets along with evfurrydoggie so well.

But do you know Flannigan McCloud, Derringer & Gus? They get along like peas and carrots. Gus doesn't like to play as much, I'm told, but Flannigan & Derrin play like CRAZY! Your Mama knowed best what kinda personality you have, I bets and how you would respond the best, to a pup or an older dog!

Good luck pal! Love your new picfurs! You are one handsome Dood.

Good job keeping the meatz safe!
Did you get any meatz?

I think there is a bug going around the peeps. Mama also wants to expand the family. Like Ernie says your Mama will know best. Keep us posted on the progress!

Thanks for the information. I love little people and seem to like puppies but haven't been around that many. Just like Ernie George, there are dogs that I like and some I just can't stand. Must be the way they they smell or something. Doesn't seem to be anything else driving my choices. So we'll see. Mum says there is a Scottie boy about 6 and 1/2 with what sounds to be a great personality in Northern NJ. He had heart worms and is getting his last treatment tomorrow. Hopefully that will all work out and we will try to meet in about a month and see if we like each other. He seems to be okay with other doggies, as he is staying with other Scotties now. I guess it will all depend on me. Unlike me though, he is black. So I guess Mum won't have trouble telling us apart, BOL. I'm kinda getting excited about the idea of someone to play with. Nora, the cat, and I don't get along. I have something along a strong prey instinct. Hope it's not contagious. I'll let you know more when I hear.

A sister or brother would be fun. Even though they sometimes can be annoying and you gotta share toys all the fun makes up for it.
