The World According To Tootsie

I Am A Brand New Dog!

Well, mom has been busy and hasnt had time to write like she has wanted to. so i thought id give you a bit of an update myself... let me just say, "watch out world, im a whole new dog!". thats right! im the new and improved tootsie pop! im lean and looking and feeling good. mom took me to see a doctor and it turned out that i have a bit of renal failure going on. thats why i was so big before... i was retaining alot of fluid and it made me very uncomfortable and hurt my joints alot. but not anymore! i get a super good diet now and i have so much more energy and i jump jump jump when i get excited. i could never jump before but now i can jump all the way onto moms bed when its time to go night night or snuggle. sometimes she still has to help me but other times i make it all my myself. i told her she needs to take some recent pics of me so everyone can see my slim waist but she never has the camera out when im sitting still and looking all gorgeous. i mean really, the last pics are from halloween 2004 and its almost halloween 2005! she promised me that when we go trick or treating that she would get some of me in my costume... so well see.
i also wanted to show everyone my big smile! mom took me to a special doggie dentist in august and my mouth feels much better. i mean really, this doctor does braces for fancy show dogs and whitens their teeth and everything... its amazing! they gave me some stuff that made me sleepy. mom said that i had to have several teeth removed. but my others are now all pretty and white. while i was asleep they also had to do some surgery to repair an oronasal fistula... whatever that is. my mom said i basically had a hole in my mouth that led to my nasal cavity that needed to be repaired. well duh, i told her my mouth hurt! mom was so happy and my surgery went so well that my big brother, max, went and saw my doctor a few weeks after me. im all healed up now and doing great. i still have a little cough every now and again but thats ok, its not like im an obnoxious puppy or anything.
so life is good. lots of snuggling and naps and mom takes me on special walks, just her and me... none of those other pesky dogs. oh and just to keep zelda on her toes, i will get real protective of mom and fluff out all fierce if zelda tries to sneak in on my snuggle time. she knows not to mess with the tootsinator. alright, well mom is ready for bed so ive got some snuggling to do and ive got to hurry up to secure the best spot!
