My husband was missing our Basset, Joshua. He looked up puppies in the paper and the next thing I know he is cajoling me to get a new puppy. (We still had Bailey). So we all rode, including Bailey, in the Grandparent's car to see the puppies. Luke was the least loud of the group and we thought we would try a quieter dog this time. (Ha! Fooled us!) So he came home with us and started chewing at the base of Bailey's tail and did that for years. He is a cheater.
Bio:
Lucas will lay for 10 minutes on his back, in the middle of the hall, waiting for somone to see him to pet his belly. He has a beautiful bay-- a perfect hound tone. His legs are so short, he has to have stairs (made of boxes) to get up on the bed. He is beautiful, but we suspect very inbred. We love him despite his crazy little quirks. Or maybe, we love him because of them.
