Its hard to believe all the places I've been and people I've met in just this past month. It wasn't long ago that I was sitting out there all alone wondering when my family was going to come back for me. Since then I've taken 5 plane trips in order to finally arrive here in Michigan! So far I like it here. The weather is a bit cold, but I don't mind too much. I think my foster mom might buy a coat for me, just in case I start to get chilly.
I currently live with a hound dog named Sadie and two cats. Sadie is pretty cool, but all she wants to do is play! Sometimes a dog just wants to lay down and chew on a bone! As for the cats, I like them a little too much. My foster mom doesn't let me go near them because I like to point and chase them. She says I would do better in a house without cats. What can I say? They are irresistible!!!
Aside from my cat chasing my foster mom seems to be pretty impressed with me. I haven't had any accidents in the house and I go potty right away when she takes me out! I don't waste any time! The first night I was here she made me sleep in the crate all by myself. It was horrible and I cried and cried! I didn't want to be left alone again. Thankfully she got the message and moved my crate into the room where Sadie sleeps. So much better!!! Now I don't make a peep.
I've also been learning about all kinds of fun toys. Squeaky toys are just AWESOME! But they don't seem to last long.... My foster mom also gives me lots of bones to chew on and Kongs stuffed with peanut butter and kibble. I love it! Food is pretty much my favorite thing. I would do anything for a treat so that should make training a bit easier. She also bought me this toy called a tug-a-jug. I could chew on it forever! And little pieces of kibble come out. Oh man, what an awesome invention!
Later this week I'm supposed to have a photo session so everyone can see what a handsome little guy I am. Hopefully that way someone will want to adopt me and make me apart of their family! I'd love to have a family again. I'm secretely keeping my paws crossed that they have cats for me to chase, but my foster mom say no. Oh well... a dog can dream, right?
