Arrival Story:
Bella had a good home with a very nice couple who rescued her as a stray in Texas. She lived with them for four years. But, she didn't get along so well with her doggie sisters. And they decided Bella would probably do better being the only dog in a household. And I was looking for a dog after a year of not having a dog. (My former dog CeCe died of lymphoma.)Anyway, I saw their ad on Animal Friend's website for Home-to-Home adoptions. And I called Bella's owners and met Bella and her family. And they knew I'd be a good match for Bella and I knew Bella would be a good match for me. And a couple days later they brought Bella to my house. And it's been over a year now, and Bella has adjusted well. I just love her. And she gets along with her cat brother and sisters. So, we're all now one big, happy family. And I keep her other family updated on all her antics.

Hi All,

Sorry, I haven't posted in awhile. I've been so busy. Busy digging holes, treeing squirrels, and trying to find the time to fit in my naps. It's a hectic life, but if it wasn't for me none of this stuff would get done around here.
Oh, and I recently had a visit from my paw cousin Chloe. She is one wimpy dog,but I tolerate her because she shares her gourmet doggie cookies with me. And she forgot them here this time. hahahah
And I needed them because I'm getting less food, because mommy thinks I need to lose a few. But, I have lost weight, because of the sauna type weather that we've had this summer. Mommy can take herself for a walk. That's what I say.
Plus, it's a full-time job keeping four cats in line. What with them streaking through the house and tearing up the furniture. ugh.
Well, that's what I have been up to so far. How about all my other pup pals out there?

Snow, and more snow, and too much snow

Hi Puppy Pals,

I guess the groundhog was right. We still got a lot of winter left, like 22 inches of snow and counting. There is going to be more snow tonight in Pittsburgh, PA. The weather forecast is calling for 6-10 more inches of snow. My mommy is complaining that I don't help her shovel. And now, she thinks I should be trained to fetch the mail. I think she forgets who the boss is around here. But, now, I just want to lie on my doggy bed right now, and admire the destruction of all my stuffed toys. Squeak! Squeak! Oh, that's right, I destroyed the squeak too. Bark later.

Hiya,
I just came in from outside. And boy is it doggone cold out there. My pawsies are frosted. I play it up and whine to my mommy, so she'll give me a cookie. Mommy thinks I'm funny when I talk to her. You know, just like a hound dog does,(even though, I'm a Swiss Mountain dog, mind you). Well, I'm usually telling her to get her lazy self up from off the couch and let me out, unless she wants to get out the carpet scrubber. Or when I'm begging for food. Sometimes, the cat food breath gives me away and I get a stern talking to. But, sometimes, I talk just to start a game of throw the used to be a squeaky toy, but doesn't squeak much anymore. Well, that's all I have to say right now pup pals. Hopefully, it will be a little warmer and I can get back to my three mile hikes. Howl later.
