Arrival Story:
Maggie was a 10mth old puppy whose name was etched in our local papers. She had been dragged behind a car through the streets of Woy Woy, NSW Central Coast and left to die at the dump. A worker found her and took her to the pound who then contacted our local vet. She was very touch and go for a while, but managed, with the wonderful assistance of our vet, to pull through. And now, 8yrs down the track she still runs amok and is a very happy and healthy girl.
Bio:
At the time she came to us, she had mange, was recovering from her injuries as well as malnutrition and calcium deficiency. 8 weeks after she became a part of our family, both her cruciate ligaments gave way and she had to have both her hind legs operated on. Keeping her quiet for 6 weeks was a mission. We managed for 4!
