Arrival Story:
Dexter came to my family in June 2000. Our previous dog had died a couple of years before, and even though we had 2 cats, we still felt a void in our family and Dexter filled it. Recently Dexter sadly was put to sleep. In December of 07 Dexter suddenly lost feeling and control of his back legs. Apparently this ailment is very common in Dachshunds because their vertebrae undergo a lot of strain. We miss him very much.

Bio:
Dexter is a sweet puppy that loves attention. He has a very mild temperament and never growls or becomes cranky, but is a crazy chewer. During the summer he loves the pool, but will never go off the first step. And every time we go for a walk, whenever we reach about a block away from the house he knows he almost home and makes a mad dash to the front door!
