Rose (aka Rose Bud) 3 months old American Staffordshire terrier Good with: adults, children, dogs Needs work with: She is a puppy so obviously basic obedience Rose is a sweet little puppy who had a rough start in life, but is now searching for her forever home where she can be loved & safe for the rest of her life! Even though a person did a terrible thing to her at a very young age, Rose does not hold that against the rest of us ~ she loves, loves, and loves people! She trots confidently up to everyone she meets with a hop in her step & her little tail wagging away. If they are sitting down, then that is all the better because she loves to climb up into a lap & snuggle. Rose likes children also….because they let her give them tons of her sweet puppy kisses! She is very good with other dogs. She loves to play & with that puppy energy she can tire out even the most energetic dog…in our house that would be the 2 yr. old male boxer who never gets tired…until Rose came along that is! She shares her foster home with 4 boxers & she runs & plays with them like she is 65lbs not the mere 18lbs she actually weighs. She is a smart little girl who learned sit very quickly & is working on stay. She does well on the leash & is easily corrected with a stern “no Ma’am”. Her potty training is going very well also. She has not had any accidents in her crate & we have worked up to 4 hours! She tries to go to the door when she needs to go out, but sometimes gets confused. She has only been here a week so I would say that is pretty good progress! She does not exhibit any aggression towards me or other dogs. She lets me take her food away when she is eating & gives up her toys easily enough. She is a really good puppy! Obviously her ears are different than other dogs. That was due to a horrible person that cut them off. They are healed now & it did not affect her hearing in anyway – she is perfectly healthy & is awaiting her spay. I would love to keep little Rose Bud forever, she is a special little girl & she will have my heart forever, but she deserves to have a family all her own. Plus it would be very selfish of me not to share this little ray of sunshine with others…..but be warned, once you meet her you better be prepared to take her home because she charms everyone she meets!
