Even though my mom didn't want a dog, my dad did and went to the pound. our eyes met and it was fate. They then found out i was pregnant with six puppies and was very sick. They took care of me and now i only have to fight for attention of my dad with my mom and little sister kelly.

things have not been well as i have been kicked out of sleeping in the bed at night. i've ended up laying outside the door all night until someone decides to let me in in the morning and i can finally get under the covers. i can't understand why they don't know that i need to be in a big bed and under the covers. i think i may have hurt mom one night tho, because the next day she didn't feel well and was complaining that her back hurt. i just thought it was guilt from her not being a very good owner!

i have a feeling that mom and dad are up to something. they keep talking about "poker","taking one car", and mom has been talking to aunt joanna about "plans for the weekend". that usually means that they will be gone for a very long time (at least 2 hours). i tried to get as much attention as possible today, but of course kelly had to come onto the couch with mom and i. she doesn't seem to take my growling seriously anymore- i'd better think of a new way to assert my alpha dog status!

Today was one of the days during the week when i get to stay in bed and snuggle with mom. I wish we had a bigger bed because I always get woken up and moved by either mom or dad. After mom rubbed my belly for a while- not long enough, in my opinion - she left and kelly and I slept in our sun square in the basement. When mom came home we got to go outside and run around a bit. It's cold, but the cold seems to give me energy. Kelly and I played and ran laps inside the house for a bit and now I'm relaxing on the snuggle ball. I know the day's not over, but I feel like it can only keep getting better! Maybe mom and dad will kick Kelly out of the bedroom and let me have full snuggle privileges!
