I Miss My Daddy!

Today my Daddy went on a long car ride without me. Mommy says that he was driving to our new home in Chicago and that I couldn't go. I sure hope that it wasn't because I was a bad girl last night and got into Daddy's suitcase and ran off with all of his socks. I can't help it...I love socks!!!

I am so sad and have been lying by the door waiting for him to come back and play with me. Mommy is really sad too and has been hugging and kissing me all day long.

I am really going to miss it here. But I am looking forward to all of the fun things that I will get to do there...dog parks and meet new doggie friends.

Until then me and Mommy will just have to keep each other company.

Tonight I got to go trick or treating with my new friend Moss. Mommy and Daddy and Moss's mommy took us around the neighborhood and we had such a great time. Mommy dressed me up again in my bumblebee costime and Moss wore a funny collar. We didn't get to eat any candy but earlier Mommy gave me some yummy treats from my favorite "dog barkery." She made me share some with Moss and I wasn't too happy with that.

Tonight mommy took me to Petsmart to have my picture taken in my Halloween costume. She dressed me up like a bumblebee. I wanted to be a giraffe...stripes are so unflattering! I was so excited when we drove up to the dog toy store. I love that place!!! Mommy always buys me new fun things and tells me not to tell dad. Evidently he thinks I have too many toys. You can never have enought toys...or chewed up shoes!

They had to flash this bright light four times until mommy said that if I didn't behave she wasn't going to let me have the Greenie I saw her buy. I really don't like that flashy light! Plus there were lots of doggies and new smells to check out. But I really did want that Greenie so I sat like a "good dog" and let them flash the light at me. Afterwards mommy let me go pick out a new toy. She said I didn't even deserve that but that I was her "good girl." I think she was still mad at me for running off with the neighbor's pumpkin last night. I couldn't help it...we were out going potty and I saw these orange round balls on the porch next door. They didn't smell or look like normal fetch balls though. So while mommy was walking back I grabbed the really tiny one by the stick thing in the middle and ran off with it back inside. Mommy didn't even notice until she saw me chewing on it under the dining room table. I thought she was going to yell at me but she walked away laughing and came back and flashed one of those bright lights at me.

Hmmm, does the bright light mean I am a "bad dog"?
