At any rate, after many phone calls I went to pick him up on Dec 28, 04. What a sweetie!! Wiggle butt all over the place!!

On Feb 23, I received a message from the local police dept that someone nearby had called and complained about "excessive barking" at my address @ 10:30PM. When I returned the call (at 3am when I got in from work) I was told that the police have had a "couple of calls" concerning this and the next time they got a call I would be "cited"!!!! Next day I went down to the police station to try and get some information on the problem. Ha! Silly me. I was told in the Records dept that there was no name on the complaint......so does that mean that anyone, anywhere can call and say my dogs are barking??? Who verifies this?? And why am I just now being notified if this is an ongoing problem...no answers.....Duhhh My neighbour on the east told me that Sirius was out and barking for what seemed like longer than usual. She sent her husband out to look around. Which of course caused Sirius to bark more! LOL LOL Still a quandry but now due to his relentlessness and rude neighbours, they are both locked in the house with no doggie door access while I am at work. My good neighbour is coming over to let them out before she goes to bed as I work nites. All this to keep Sirius from having a police record!!

New Home/New Name

Welcome to the new world of Frankie/Sirius! It's been a lot of new things and changes for him but he seems to be enjoying it. His previous owner brought him to our area from California and then needed to find a new home for him. My vet, Dr Anne tried to butter me up with things like "you're the top person on my Dobie list", "you're the best person I could think of to take this baby" etc etc. Course I know I was just top of the SUCKER list! LOL And of course it preyed on my mind as to what would happen to him if I DIDN'T take him so, here he is to stay! He's still a bit timid about new things. Took me and Katie nearly 3 days to get him used to the dog door. And another 4 or 5 to convince him that you don't go "potty" in the HOUSE! LOL So far so good! He's only had a couple of "accidents" in the last week. I decided to wait till next session to sign him up for an obedience class. Too many new things at once. But he's a real joy to have around. Still puppy soft and all kisses and wiggle butt! I'm working on getting his ears to stand properly. Orignial owner had them cropped but apparently didn't keep up with the posting. His ears stand a bit forward facing ( kinda like a German Shepherd) and if he gets excited, the tips meet over the top of his head.....I'm trying to refrain from calling him Pyramid Head....heheehehe Katie of course is delighted to have a play companion all the time. I am delighted that she took to him from the start and they were sleeping in the same bed the first day. They're only a year apart in age so they'll be best buds always. I'm waiting for the day when he TOWERS over her and isn't so subject to her bullying! Check back for more news in a couple weeks!
