Arrival Story:
I lived in a small house and was told by my lanlord no pets. I had lived there a couple of years and had a three year old son and wanted him to grow up with animals, I had grown up with cats. I called the lanlord and asked if we could please get a cat, he said no but we could get a small dog. I went to the pound and as soon as I walked in I saw this little fluffy black dog, her fur was matted and had cokel burs in it, I swear that when I looked at her I knew she was suppose to be mine. They had her barricaded from the rest of the dogs with a little fence around her. As soon as I pet her she clung to me all the way home and every day since, if I leave a room so does she, she won't go to bed unless I am there. She is always by my side and most times listens to me over anyone else. She is an older dog and I know she won't be around forever but I am glad I got to be with her for her last years of her life. I love her dearly and she is always patient with my son who when we first got her use to dress her in my undergarments and when I met my now husband he had a 100 pnd. boxer who harrassed her on the daily and was always a good sport, when he got cancer suddenly and we had to put him down she was in the room with us to say goodbye. She is an awesome dog who makes me and my son happy everyday. :)
Bio:
Sasha was a farm dog, who when she was a puppy got kicked by a horse. She has a limp when she walks. She was given to the pound because I guess she was chasing live stock and the owners didn't like that, I can't imagine giving a dog away that is so mild mannered, my dad calls her the dog from funny farm because she never moves and sleeps all the time.
