Arrival Story: Had looked at a number of dogs online at various rescues. Decided to visit the Milo Foundation while they were in San Francisco over the weekend. Immediately fell in love with Murph. However, felt terrible about separating him from his sister, with whom he was alternately cuddling and rough-housing. I asked if there was any chance that someone might adopt both of them. Not only did they tell me that it was unlikely, but they actually suggested that this breed needed to be raised individually because of their level of energy and the amount of personal attention they require. Once I was given assurance that his sister would be adopted easily, we went ahead and brought Murph into the family. A couple of hours later, we were out at PetCo during our first shop. I was carrying Murph in my arms, turned the corner, and there was a fellow carrying a dog with the exact same blue/black eye comination. At first, slow on he uptake that I am, I thought: wow, what a coincidence. Then it hit me: it was his sister! And, thank God, she had been adopted by a couple living very close by. So happy ending to a wonderful beginning!

Bio: Murph was adopted at the Milo Foundation. They recently moved into a store-front property in Berkeley. Please help support their wonderful efforts by visiting http://www.milofoundation.org
