Arrival Story:
Kiba is my foster dog. His mom is a stray that the humane society has been trying to capture and spay for quite a while. She had four puppies in the meantime and Kiba is one of them. He was not handled much before I got him, but has been surprisingly friendly and accepting. If you have any questions about him or his siblings please feel free to pup mail me and I'll be happy to help you. If you'd like to adopt him please visit this link to find the adoption application: http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/ GA270.html

Bio:
Kiba is surprisingly sweet and loving for a puppy that has almost no human contact. He has only been here for a day and he is already actively seeking affection from me. He gets along great with my Cattle Dog, Phantom who has become like his second mother. ***UPDATE (13 Nov 2009)*** Kiba is still doing great. He is still a little shy, but is a very sweet boy. I called out to him today and he ran right up to me, of course, then he ran off in the other direction to see what the other dogs had found. We go on daily pack walks with some of the other dogs here and he has a blast trying to keep up with them. He loves to stay in the house in his crate and play with his little squeaky toy. He hasn't discovered the squeaky side of the toy yet, but I bet he'll be really happy when he does. Overall, Kiba has been great so far and I think one day he will make someone a wonderful pet.

We picked up Kibbles on Saturday, December 19, 2009. Kibbles is 3 mos. old. Of course, Kibbles is the cutiest puppy of all. He seems to like playing with the other dogs at foster Mom's, but seems very shy around people. We had a five hours drive home from Claxton, GA and Kibbles made it only getting sick once. Didn't go potty in the car at all. Seemed very sad to be leaving his friends from the foster home. First thing he ate was pizza crust that his new Mom gave him unknowing of when he last ate. Once home, his first stop was the utility sink for a bath. Kibbles was infested with flees.

After getting dried off and combed, Kibbles got a real meal of puppy food and water, outside for a potty break and then met Roxy, our black lab. The two hit it off with lots of playing and kisses. Kibbles seemed to almost forget about his old friends and ready to start his new friendship.

Before getting ready for bed, Kibbles decided to check out him new home some. He's now found some hiding spots. One is under the bed and another is behind the chair in the living room. Kibbles seems very shy around humans, but curious at the same time. He wants to see what everyone is doing, but doesn't want anyone to know he's watching.

Although Kibbles has left us some presents in the house, he is doing really good at potty training and we don't think this will be much of an issue. Right now, we are working on showering Kibbles with love and making him feel wanted, welcomed, and a great part of his new family.
