Arrival Story:
Ricky was given to us around 1954. The year doesn't go back that far so I had to but in the 70's. She was my first dog. Dalmatian/Fox terrier. Looked like the old RCA Victor dog. I'd say she was around a year or so when we got her. Unfortunately when she was 12, I had to give her up because her tempermant changed when I was pregnant. Hard to believe that wonderful animal became so destructive. After the baby was born she couldn't be trusted and the hard decision was we had to let her go. Fortunately someone knew the family that wanted her so she would be safe. My heart broke for losing the most loving and beautiful dog I'd known but fear of her hurting the baby was there so she was given to a family with other dogs. I visited her when she was about 14. She wouldn't look or acknowledge me. Was it me, did she remember the decision that had to be made or was it age? I'll never know but somewhere she knows I had unconditional love for her. Rest in peace my beautiful one. You have a lot of family up there including. You were the first in line to greet them. Have fun....Love you forever, Mom
