Hi! Just wanted to give you a quick update to let you know how well I am doing and remind you that I’m still in search of my forever home! Thankfully, the leg pain that I was having earlier this year has completely gone away now. I’ve been off all pain meds for over a month now and am running and playing like crazy with no limping or pain at all! Apparently it was just a growing pain – the vets had said that the growth plate in my shoulder was not fully formed, which usually does not happen until up to 18 months of age. So apparently I’m officially a big boy now that my shoulder growth plate has formed and I’m all filled out and healthy now! I’m still having fun in my foster home playing with lots of other dogs and I love going on adventures. I’ll be at Charlotte’s Bark in the Park event on 4/24. Hope to see you there!

I have been in my foster home for four months now and wanted to give you an update. I continue to love all of the other dogs in my foster home and I am fully house-trained and crate-trained. I have learned a new hand signal, so now I know two of them! I have been favoring my right front leg off and on for a few weeks, so we went to see the BRBR vet. She couldn’t find anything wrong with it, so I’m on some pain meds as needed for right now. It doesn’t slow me down one bit; I am still an active and playful boy who is always up for a wrestling match or a ball game. I am in search of a forever home that has another dog who would like to play with me and either no kids or older kids who have experience with bouncy young Boxers like myself! I am extremely social and love to make new friends, so I enjoy going on outings and attending events. I am a very good car rider. I hope to find a forever family who will be interested in continuing my obedience training using hand signals since I am deaf. My foster mom thinks that I am a smart boy and a quick learner!

Happy New Year! I’ve been in my foster home for a little over two months now. I am still in search of a perfect forever home. I am the most adorable and happy Boxer boy you will ever meet! I am looking more and more like an adult and less like a puppy these days as I gain weight and fill out a little bit, but I still enjoy acting like a silly and goofy pup most of the time. I absolutely love all other dogs and am very friendly and social with everyone I meet. I can spend hours entertaining myself with toys, but I do need to go to a forever home with another dog since I am deaf. A home with a secure fenced back yard would be best for me. I am probably too energetic for small kids, but older dog-savvy kids would be just fine. I am completely house- trained and I am also crate-trained. I enjoy car rides and exploring on walks. Many of my foster friends found their forever homes over the holidays and I hope my turn will come very soon!

Hi! I’ve been in my foster home for a little over a month now, so I wanted to send you an update. My foster parents tell me that I am a very good boy! I am already fully house-trained and crate-trained. I love all of the new dogs and people that I get to meet! Most of all, I love to play! I enjoy playing with toys and balls, but my favorite is to box and wrestle with my doggie friends! I would like to find a forever home that has another dog who also likes to play. I enjoy running around in the back yard, but I also like to explore on walks. I am still a pup, so I need plenty of daily exercise and interaction. I am pretty quiet for a deaf dog and I settle down nicely when crated. My foster mom has taught me the hand signal for “sit” and I am working on learning a couple of other hand signals. I am very food motivated but do not guard my food. I would love to continue obedience training in my forever home. I have reached a healthy weight at 50 lbs. I will fill out a little bit more, but should not be more than 55-60 lbs when completely full grown. I hope to find my forever home before the holidays so Santa will know where to find my stocking!

Hi! My name is Duffy and I am new to BRBR. I just got vaccinated last week and got neutered yesterday. That stuff was no fun, but today I got to come to my foster home and it’s loads of fun around here! There are so many other dogs to play with and I love everyone so far. I am only around a year old, so I’m still a goofy pup. I just like to be silly and play all the time. I am a very nice car rider and I like to look out the windows. I am calm and quiet in my crate and I am good about doing my business as soon as I get to go outside. I love to run around and explore in the back yard with other dogs. I am deaf, but my foster parents treat me the same as everyone else around here and it works out just fine. I do know how to “sit” and I will learn other commands in time. I am food motivated and will be easy to train. I am heartworm negative. I just need to gain some weight and I will be ready for my forever home in no time!
