Arrival Story:
Kia was rescued from a gassing shelter in North Carolina. She had been shot several times and was found half starved and on her own with a litter of puppies. All her puppies were dead when they found her but she still was clutching one of them in her mouth. To this day she likes to collect all her stuffed toys as if they were her puppies ans pile them together on her bed. She will collect slippers, shoes and anything else she can find lying around to add to her pile!

Kia was part of a feral pack of dogs found.
