Arrival Story: Morgan was rescued through St. Louis Scottish Terrier Rescue from a puppy mill in July 2009. She was in better shape than most but still needed medications for infections. Morgan was not spayed right away because she was on antibiotics; if she had been the vet would have found her 6 puppies! The puppy mill gave her up pregnant.
Morgan gave birth to her final litter on August 24, 2009. Her foster mama fell in love with her the day she was rescued and together cared for the 6 puppies. They left her care between weeks 10 and 12 so Morgan got plenty of time to learn how to play with and from her puppies. The 6 puppies were successfully adopted out to people that had had Scottish Terriers before.
Morgan is now spayed and retired from her former life as a puppy mill dog--she is now a treasured pet!
Bio: Morgan didn't even know what grass was when she touched the ground for the first time after rescue! She didn't know how to go up stairs or to take treats from the new humans in her life.
Now she hangs out on the couch, has started playing with toys, chews on her rawhides and other chewies, and goes on long walks.
