Arrival Story:
I've always loved animals and I had always wanted a dog of my own. When I moved into an apartment of my own, I purposely chose a complex that allowed pets. One day in late April 2005 my sister and I went to the local animal shelter to look at dogs. As we looked around, I found a female dog that I met, I liked, and I had decided to get. However, we then discovered that she was already taken. Discouraged, but hopeful, we decided to look around again and I came up to a dog that I hadn't even noticed before. He was about 30 pounds, super hyper, and I fell in love. He had only been at the shelter for a few days so I needed to wait until a week was up just in case somebody came to claim him before I could take him home. After the few remaining days, nobody had come to claim him and I went with a friend to go pick him up. From then on, it was just him and me, but little did I know that the shelter had given me the wrong age and he proceeded to gain another 30 pounds as he grew and had come home from the kennel with a bad case of kennel cough. From then on it sure has been an adventure, but it has been well worth it.
Bio:
Juneau was held at the animal shelter in Kalamazoo County in Kalamazoo, Michigan. After about 2 years of going to school at Western Michigan University, I decided to move to Alaska and finish my degree. Juneau came with me of course and Alaska is our current home. Juneau now has a Daddy and a brother named Gunner.
