Long Time No Write

Hello Dogsters! It's been a very long time since I wrote here so there's a lot to catch up on.

First of all, and most important, I'm alive! About a year and a half ago I injured my back very badly and could not walk and could barely stand on my hind legs. Mommy and daddy took me to the doctor and they recommended a very expensive MRI but didn't hold much hope and suggested I be "put to sleep". Well, mom and dad got a second opinion. This vet explained what was going on and told them that if they were willing to continue carrying me everywhere and holding me up to handle my personal business and make me rest then, with the help of some special meds, I might recover. He also told them that even if my legs didn't work I was still healthy so why not get a wheel chair. Mom and dad said ok! Well, to make a long story short, I slowly recovered and don't need a wheel chair or "sleep". I can run and walk but am just a bit wobbly in the back end. Mom and Daddy keep me in most of the time so I don't get hurt by the other dogs and get after me for running to hard and falling down. I love that I have a Mommy and daddy that love me so much and wouldn't give up.

Since all this happened we've also made some changes to our lives. We moved far away from California to a place called Arkansas. It's very pretty here and we like it very much. We drove here with all my brother and sister dogs and cats and our horse. What a trip we had with three cars,a moving van and all 17 of us animas.

Before our big trip we adopted a new sister cat. Her name is Katy. She is mostly blind but she is a real whippersnapper and gets around very well. Since we got here we got another kitty. His name is Louie and he is a crazy one.

Guess I'll go for now. Sorry it's been so long. I'll try to keep things up better.

Another ONE!

Well, they've done it again. They brough home another brother. Oh well, at least this one is a poodle. The last three were DOGS! We've named this one Sebastian. He is a black standard poodle. He's almost as handsome as me but nobody will every catch me. I am also still king of the universe around here. My daddy sees to that. He lets me spend all day in the house with him and I get to sleep on the bed. HA! Take that you newcomer!

Love Daddy

Hello Dogsters. You all probably know how much our Mommy loves us because she is the one who mans the computer for us but our daddy loves us too.

Without a doubt, I am Daddy's favorite. He picked me out of the litter of puppies and brought me home without even asking Mom. He sleeps with me and brings me in to hang out with him all alone.

Daddy buys us special treats and even orders a steak by itself when he goes out to dinner just so we can have some too. Now that's love! He always tells mom it's just for me but she says I have to share. Hmph!

Anyway, just thought you'd like to know we have a daddy too.

Holiday From Home

We got to go to the Pet Resort again. We took Otis this time. He said he had never been to a pet hotel before so we rented a deluxe suite for Me, Woody and Otis to share. We had a great time. Otis had to go on time out for a little while though. He's so little, but he thinks he is tough and he tried to beat up the other little dogs. I told him he'd get locked up but he just wouldn't listen. Oh well, he'll get used to it and quit behaving so crazy.

Mom took Zack and Barney with her to Grandma's house. She says 5 dogs is to many to take. Besides, the dog next door likes to eat little guys and Daddy says NO WAY are we going there until he is gone.

I guess everyone knows about the scent to our house now. Strange dogs keep showing up wanting to live with us.

We still have Barney and now we have Otis. This is just way too many people to share my toys with.

Mom got mad at me because I took all of the bones and hoarded them and then I took Barney's stuffy right out of his mouth. When he tried to get it back I tackled him and took it. What a goober! He doesn't even realize he is 40 pounds bigger than me. He just rolls over and says uncle. HA!

I am still number one in Daddy's eyes. He took me all by myself to the store to go get a newspaper today. Ha Ha!

Dog Vacation

I went on a dog vacation this weekend. Mom took us to a resort. Woody and I shared a Deluxe Suite with beds and a TV with Woody. Mom brought us our blankets and special toys. We played and played. I like that place. It sure is a lot more fun getting to make friends and play all day than staying home with the sitters. But I must say that I did miss Mom. I jumped for joy when I saw her come to get us. At home with Mom and Dad I get to sleep on the bed.

Daddy Kidnapped By Mom

Mom kidnapped my daddy again. He said she is making him go run a half marathon. If she wants to run the marathon that's fine, but how come she is making him go half? Well, I hope they both run like the wind and my daddy comes home feeling fine.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope your days was as great as ours. Besides the wonderful gifts we had a terrific day with our family.

We really appreciate the toys and balls and especially those rawhides. The only problem I have is that I don't want to share. I want all of the bones. Well, Jillian won't give hers to me. She has been chewing all day and everytime I go near her to steal it she growls and bites at me. Mom says I can't be hogging all of the bones. That's how little dogs who think they're big get hurt. Humph! Wait till she finds the one I hid under the pile of laundry she is getting to wash.

Pictures

Mom took us to take pictures today. It was pretty fun watching her try to get Woody to sit still. It took some doing and lots of treats, but we finally got the pictures.

We got to sit on Santa's lap and ask for stuff. I asked for lots of dog treats and not to have to share the king size bed with anyone but my mom and dad. I'm not sure that last one is going to happen, but it's worth a try.

Ouch!

It's been a while since I wrote. I haven't been feeling well lately. My daddy was VERY worried about me. I seem to have hurt my back. Mom and dad aren't exactly sure because I couldn't tell them but they guess that I was either playing with or got underneath Jillian (Big,clumsy greyound) and she landed on my back. She doesn't always pay attention to who's under her when she jumps up and down in excitement. Well, anyway, my back was hurt so much that it was all hunched up and I could hardly move. Daddy rushed me to the vet and they took x-rays and gave me a shot (morophine!). I had to be kept separate from everyone else and given rest to get myself back in line again. Talk about getting spoiled! I slept on the bed all day, got carried up and down the stairs, taken in the car, ate treats (mom swears it was pain medicine) and just plain pampered. I'd fake it for more of that attention, but I wouldn't want anyone to get into trouble for hurting me.

Now I just want to play but mom won't let me yet. She even hid all of the toys so I wouldn't be tempted to chase Woody around with one. I an such a spoild child!
