Arrival Story:
One of My daughter acquaintances ask her if we could board summer and Shadow, who at the time where Roxi and Bella, for the holidays because she was going to visit relatives... it was supposed to be for two weeks. After the two weeks ended - the girl basically refused to take them back , she was pregnant she said and could no longer keep them . I was furious because I was still in a wheelchair at the time, was on a limited income and had already a house full of dogs that I had trouble supporting. I had just had left my Ex who basically left me with nothing . I really did not need more dogs! We called the pound, but they said because they had got so many puppies over x-mas summer and her sister would have to be put down. That of course was unacceptable So it was decided that they could stay for a while ...till we found a new home for them... summer found a new home in 2005 where she lives happily to this day( i get pictures now and then ) Shadow who has some behaviour problems was never a good candidate for adoption and stayed with me. She has been with me so long now that parting with here would never be an option ...

Bio:
Shadow has transformed though the years, she used to be very skittish and shy it was not easy to gain her trust. Nowadays she has become very confidant often too much so for her own good - she has food aggression and she knows how to open cupboards and the fridge which can be a challenge. Dispite her gritty nature at times she is deeply loving and loyal...I have come to love her very much, it was a slow growing love but it has become a deep one ... I cannot imagine a life without her, she is deeply ingrained in my family fabric
