A trip to the pound to look for a lost cat, ostensibly, but my dad really wanted to get a dog anyway--Buford, 3 years old at the time, was just being unloaded from the truck. His family (the 3rd family in his 3 years) had called the pound to come get him because "he was getting in the way". So...no cat, but one basset hound. He was registered, and his full name was Jamie's Buford.
Bio:
Buford died at the age of 13, from natural causes. He died in 1995. He was my first basset hound--I grew up with him--and he will always be loved and missed. He has paved the way for me to always love bassets, and to always adopt bassets who need good homes.
