Arrival Story:
I got Rusty as a foster thru the IGCA about two months ago. She needs surgery to correct a luxatting patella, and she also has four baby teeth that need to be pulled, as well as a migrated (down to her shoulder!) microchip. We figured she'd be here for awhile, considering she needs to get her knee repaired, but we didn't count on her fitting in so well that we absolutely can't bear for her to leave, and Tippytoes esp. can't...they've become best friends. We'll probably 'officially' adopt Rusty within the next month or so.
She IS full grown, but is especially tiny for an Italian Greyhound. She is only FIVE pounds! But she's full of a whole lotta' love!!!
Bio:
Rusty came from Toledo Ohio where she lived until just recently. She originally came from a pet store :( (don't get me started on that...lol) and had to come in to rescue because of changes in her owners lifestyles that didn't really permit them to keep her. She is in her forever home now though! :)

Well, my knee surgery to correct my two luxatting patellas is on Wednesday, June 29th. From what my sis Tippytoes tells me about surgeries, they don't sound like any fun. The nice thing is that for some reason I seem to be getting a lot of extra love and attention.
I'm having both of my knees operated on at the same time, so mom said I won't be allowed to walk for a MONTH! How WILL I survive? I hate sitting still, let alone having to lay around or be carried for a whole month. Mom said no matter how bad it is for me, it'll be worse for her...hahaha! (since she's the one who has to take care of me, carry me everywhere and keep me still so I can heal). Mom bought be this rockin' iggy buggy/stroller type thing that my friends have nicknamed the "DivaMobile". That last pic of me, where I'm bathed in lovely pink light, that's me sitting in the DivaMobile. I look pretty good in it, huh?!
