At the Dog Park

A few weeks ago Mommy and Daddy took me and Levon to the Nashua Dog Park. The Nashua Dog Park is only open on Sunday mornings from 9 - 11 am, so we usually can't go because Mommy works (and I guess we're too much to handle for just Dad..) but, a few weeks ago, Mommy got out of work early, so we got to go play for 15 minutes!!!

When we got there, I was really excited and I kept barking, trying to make Daddy walk faster, but it didn't work. A lot of other dogs were leaving as we went in, but there were a few dogs still there by the time we got there.

When we got in, Mommy took Levon's leash off right away, but Daddy kept mine on for a long time! Eventually, Mom and some other lady convinced Dad to take my leash off. Just as the other lady said "Oh, they always stay by your side until they're comfortable" I took off and headed right for the gate- all the other dogs were going somewhere good (I don't know where, but they were all lined up for something), but Dad caught me right before I got to the front of the line..

The best part was that a lot of people kept telling my parents how cute I was and stopped to pet me. That's a change- usually it's Levon who gets all the attention. I was the only dog like me there, and a lot of people had never seen a dog like me before. There were tons of dogs like Levon, though.. He was old news!

My Mommy took me to the vet last Monday because one of my eyes looked funny. It was bloodshot, but there wasn't any drainage.. The vet gave me icky goo to go in my eyes twice a day for a week. The goo didn't help, and I was back at the vet this past Monday. The vet said it might be allergies, and gave me eye drops with steriods. My eyes seem a little better now, but of course Mommy still worries about everything!!
