Turd Burgular, That's Me!

I don't know what it is about digging in the kitty litter and finding those mini "Nestle Crunch bars." Mom and dad think I'm DISGUSTING! How can that be when cat poop is just cat food (my fave!) that is covered in sprinkles?! I can't get enough when I'm left unsupervised. No one wants me to give them kisses unless they check my breath first. That makes me paranoid. It almost hurts my feelings, but the reward is all worth it. I might have an addiction problem...

Terrible Twos

Mom and Dad say I'm in my Terrible Two's... whatever that means! They seem to think I've forgotten all of my manners, tricks, and commands. They just don't know that I DO know everything, I just CHOOSE when I want to follow! Of course, when there are treats (like gummi bears, my fave!) involved, I will try my darnedest to 'stay' or 'rollover' or whatever it takes to get that soft & chewy treat. My best trick is 'off' - I do it so well, and I NEVER take my eyes off the prize. Lately, I've been a sucker for potato chips. Mom was laughing at me because I was drooling on her hand while I was watching her eat some crispity, crunchity, saltity tator chips... just like Cypress used to do for salt & vinnies! I'm glad they can find lil reminders of good ole Cypie in me, it makes me feel good to bring them happiness. :)

I love the spring time, warm weather, and sun! Definitely was tired of getting warm by laying on top of the heat vents on the floor... the metal grates got so hot, but I had to make the sacrifice for the, oh, so warm heat. I get to laze in the sun, usually from the deck, but sometimes from below in the backyard. I always take one of my squeaker stuffies out there to keep me company. Mom & Dad can peer down into the yard and usually see me racing around, doing laps with my stuffy in my mouth.

Simba also likes to spend time outdoors. He usually sits in the yard and munches on grass. When I go down to chill with him, he'll usually duck under the fence and sit on the outside of the fence, open to the real world, and pretends he doesn't know me! The nerve, and I thought we were buds. Oh well, at least I'm warm and cozy outside with the flowery air!

Agent 007

Mom and Dad keep saying I think I'm a cat. Well, the only role models I have these days are 3 cats who want nothing to do with me if I act wild and crazy. I've been kinda imitating them - following slowly and closely behind them using a catlike strut; eating cat food; and running along the top of the couch - speaking of that, i love to sneak up on top of the couch and nosedive into a bag of gummi bears or potato chips! That's where the codename 007 comes into play... ;-)

She's a Man Eater!

I lost my four front teef this past weekend. I am biting more than ever, if that's even possible. I can tell my mom is getting frustrated with my biting, it's very hard, but I can't help it. I am so feisty and talk back to her when she tells me "NO!" Usually I hop around on all fours and jump at her, while snarling and snipping my baby shark teeth. Ice cubes and frozen greenies help my gums for a few minutes, then I get wild all over again! I listen to my dad and all the cats more than mom, but she is my cuddle buddy. :) I started puppy school last week, so maybe mom has some hope for me in the future. Good thing I'm cute!!

I think I'm starting to win over the toughest of the cats, Cammy! The other day she played with me - chasing me around the house. She wasn't hissing AS much as usual, and she didn't look as scary. Of course, she had to fake a couple times like she was being mean so she wouldn't look like a sellout to The Boyz.

Today I finally jumped on the couch! After almost four weeks of jumping straight up off my hind legs only to fall short of reaching the top of the couch, I did it - went for my Booda Baby squeaky toy and did it! Maybe that doesn't sound like a big feat for some, but my parents sure were proud. :)

I'm starting to realize that when I go pee-pee outside, I get yummy treats that taste like beef and cheese! Yesterday I only had one accident in the house while mom & dad were home. They were so proud of me! Although I think they've caught on to me. I squat and 'act' like I'm going #1 outside and then sprint over to mom or dad so that they will give me a treat. Too bad they have discussed this together and said how I have done this 3-4 times and there was nothing on the ground. Oops, I'm going to need to be more stealth about it!

Welcome Home!

On Friday, Jan. 7th I flew all the way from Texas to Virginia. I was scared and crying the whole way. When I got to the cargo area, my mom was waiting but she is so short she couldn't see me over the counter! I was whining and crying and could see her trying to get a peek of me, so I stretched high and caught a glimpse. When we finally made eye contact, I stopped crying for a brief moment. Getting home was great because I got to meet Simba, the oldest cat, I chased him around the kitchen - don't think he liked that! Then I met my dad and grandma.. then Ms. Karin... Mr. Ronnie... and the Dookies. Wow, lots of visitors! Although I miss my doggie mom, bros & sisters the welcome wagon made me happy. I'm fearless anyways!

I ran up all the stairs last night for the first time. Haven't mastered coming down the steps. I like to chase all of the cats. Petey, "the troublemaker" cat, is actually nice to me. He lured me in to play with him by flicking his tail. I chased him and ran circles down the hallway. Until Cammy (aka "Big Mama") hopped in and hissed. She's ruthless. Today I ran upstairs 2 times while mom & dad weren't looking and chased Cammy around the bedroom and into their special room. It's funny to see her waddle down the hall! Soon I think they will break down and love me. :)

I'm doing well adjusting to the new home. I heard my mom chased the car down the road when my siblings and I left to go to the airport. That makes me so sad, I hope she is doing better now. I am happy here, so she should be ok knowing that. I'm going crazy running around the house and the backyard. Haven't gotten the potty training completely but am on my way! The treats I get rule!
