Arrival Story: I have grown up always having a dog. When I got with Dick he was not into getting a dog. It took me about 5 years to talk him into it. Finally I just told him to come with me I want to look at a Chocolate Lab. Well the rest is history. I wanted the dog had to talk him into it. We looked at him, I paid for him and on the way home Bear put his head in Dicks lap and he was never my dog after that unless it involved spending money....That is ok Bear was our son and we loved him so very much. 9 years was not long enough for him to be with us. I am so looking forward to seeing him at the rainbow bridge. In December of 2008 he was not feeling well at all. I took him to the vet and he was running a fever. He was givin antibotics, a shot and some to take at home. A few days later he still was not better and was coughing. On a Sunday night December 7th I called the vet and he said to bring him in. He stayed at the vets I knew he was so sick he just broke my heart to leave him there. Dick left work early Monday to go and see him even stopped by Mcdonalds to get him a cheeseburger his favorite. But Bear would not even eat. He did lift his head so he knew Dad was there. About an hour and 1/2 later I got a call at work. The vet told me that Bear had passed. I even cry just typing this cause I loved him so much. He just left a huge hole in my heart.
