Hi. My name is Chance. I’ve been in my foster home a couple of weeks now and thought now would be a good time to share a little about myself. I am about 1 1/2 – 2 years old. My foster parents rescued me from an animal shelter when they saw my sweet little face on their website. I was so glad. I had been there for a month because I was so skinny and had kennel cough. I am much better now and eat two meals a day. I am heartworm negative and microchipped as well as neutered. My foster mom gives me bones to chew, which I love. I really didn’t know what to do with them at first but now I chew mine and try to steal my fur brother’s and sister’s from them. They are good sports about it though. I don’t have food aggression. I eat in the same area as the other dogs here. They are close to my age and we love to run and play all day. Oh, I also love squeaky toys and people of all ages and sizes. I am very good natured and submissive. I love to have my belly rubbed and cuddle with my foster parents or fur brothers and sisters. I’ve only been on one car ride and that was on the way home from the shelter. I liked it. Maybe I’ll get to do some more of that. I’m pretty good at walking on a leash and I’ve only had 2 accidents in the house. My foster parents don’t like when I potty in the house so I’m learning to follow my fur brothers and sisters out the doggy door and do my business. Sometimes loud or sudden noises scare me but my foster parents are great about letting me know everything is ok. Oh! I can already “sit” and “leave it”. I’m really smart and will do anything to make my people happy….especially if I am gonna get a treat or belly rub out of it. I don’t mind the crate but I don’t have to use it much because I just sleep with my brothers and sisters on the floor. . I love my foster family but can’t wait to find my forever home.
