 Quick Bio:
 Likes: Napping, belly rubs, ear rubs, hugs, TREATS!, my people. My daughter, Mud.

Pet-Peeves: Getting my ears cleaned.

Favorite Toy: My bone!

Favorite Food: Do I have to pick a favorite?

Favorite Walk: Around the farm.

Best Tricks: Balancing a treat on my nose until someone tells me it's okay to toss it up and catch it in my mouth! Yum yum!

Bio: My arthritis and ear allergies give me more trouble in my old age, but I don't let that keep me down. I still like to romp around the farm with my daughter Mud. I love it when my people take me and Mud fishing. Though I don't swim as much as I use to, I still like sitting in the water to cool off.
Update: On Feb. 4, 2006 around 4pm Fudge passed away.
She died peacefully at home;
She had gotten to see all the people that she loved and that loved her the last few days she was here;
She was not alone, she was surrounded by loved ones who were comforting her when she went;
She defied the statistics (even for a young dog) and lived 10 months instead of the 8 months that the vets gave her;
She is buried under the catalpa tree where she used to lay while looking over the farm.

We got Fudge as a puppy when I was a freshman in high school. I had just started the marching band and it was extremely tiring. When I got home I would take Fudge with me to the hammock in the back yard of my parent's farm. I would usually take my headphones and swing on the hammock for hours on end (or until it got so dark we couldn't see) while Fudge would sit next to me under one of the large catalpa trees gazing into the sunset. We enjoyed this nightly ritual until I left for college. Even during the summers when I would come home, I would return to that comforting place under the canopy of shade with my dear friend Fudge. Fudge rarely slept while we were there. She would fancy herself a place to sit and stare into the field beyond. We use to laughingly say Fudge was contemplating the world around her. She was an extremely intelligent and sensitive dog; sensitive to others and to the world around her. I guess I’ve kept the habit of listening to my earphones to find solace. I was sitting at work today listening to my music when this particular song came on that reminded me of Fudge….
calling all angels
calling all angels
walk me through this one
don't leave me alone
calling all angels
calling all angels
we're cryin' and we're hurtin'
and we're not sure why...
and every day you gaze upon the sunset
with such love and intensity
it's almost...it's almost as if
if you could only crack the code
then you'd finally understand what this all means
but if you could...do you think you would
trade in all the pain and suffering?
ah, but then you'd miss
the beauty of the light upon this earth
and the sweetness of the leaving
calling all angels
calling all angels
walk me through this one
don't leave me alone

I have been given
One moment from heaven
As I am walking
Surrounded by night,
Stars high above me
Make a wish under moonlight.
On my way home
I remember
Only good days.
On my way home
I remember all the best days.
I’m on my way home
I can remember
Every new day.
I move in silence
With each step taken,
Snow falling round me
Like angels in flight,
Far in the distance
Is my wish under moonlight.
