Arrival Story:
After we lost Toby, I felt like we needed to wait a while for another dog. Then I stumbled upon another classified ad (okay, well, I was looking for fun) and found an ad for an AKC/CKC Boxer who needed a new home desperately. The picture of him clearly showed that he was malnourished and needed attention. I called and set up a time to pick him up and went to get him. The stories that were told about him were shady - i.e.: "We got him a little while ago"/"We got him last night" and he was only being fed a small amount once a day. I understand different feedings for different dogs, but when you can see his back and hip bones, something is not right. So, I loaded him up in the car, took him to the pet store, and took him home.

Bio:
Roscoe really is a great dog. He is attached to me (his "momma") and may have a little bit of separation anxiety as the first day we left him alone in the house he tore it up. He does need obedience training, but he also needs a lot of love. I think he feels like everyone is going to leave him as he hasn't had a permanent home in his short 3 years. Once he gets used to us, our routine, and realizes he's not going anywhere and neither are we, I have a feeling he will be the best behaved dog :) *Update 12-3-09* Roscoe has adjusted well. He still has separation issues. We can leave him in house as long as we're outside, but as soon as he hears or sees the cars leave, he immediately gets into the trash and drags it around the house. He also messes in the house if we leave in the car. Other than that, he is a wonderful boy. He is already fiercely devoted to us. *Update January 19, 2010* - Rossy is still doing great. He got a new brother, Wolfgang, for Christmas. He is not too happy about that, but he is adjusting with the rest of us. He's still the biggest momma's boy - bigger than Toby, if that's possible ;) *Update November 23, 2010* - Roscoe is the sweetest, most well-mannered dog. He is still an incredible momma's boy, but he's a good boy. He and Wolfgang get along well with very occasional spats that are ended with a simple, stern verbal cue from us.
