They had him all his life and when they got transferred to NC for business, they couldn't find a place that would allow them to keep him in the house. They put him outside in a run and he got depressed and refused to eat. They surrendered him to the shelter, hoping that Miss Lisa could find him a home. After 3 weeks, and him losing more weight, she called me and asked me for help in placing him. I put him out on the internet, but everyone was afraid because he was 9 years old and looked pretty bad. He came home with me and fit right in with my pack - he started gaining weight and became a happy boy again. Art thinks it would be cruel to adopt him out at this point, so unless the absolute right situation comes up, Max is here to stay.
