Likes:
Helmutt loves his frog toy, and his new stuffed ducky, popping all the little kids balls, running like a greyhound, attacking feet, laying in the crook of moms legs on the couch, and in the "mushroom" chair with dad. Sleeping in bed with his blankeeee

Pet-Peeves:
Mom's perfume, hairspray, touching his armpits, petting him like he's a big doggie, vacuum cleaner..or any big shopping bags that mom brings in!

Favorite Toy:
Froggie and his curly lamb

Favorite Food:
Busy Bones, science diet treats, beggin strips, American rawhide chicken chews

Favorite Walk:
Loves his leash (we actually have a harness and he puts it on himself) Down to the beach in Sayville, around main street so everyone can tell me how cute I am!

Best Tricks:
I can jump higher than you stand! I'll also stand on my back two legs for longer than you can! I can also crawl like an army man, and throw my bone across the living room into the dining room. I run as fast as a greyhound, and corner like a Ducati!

Arrival Story:
My husband and I had just gotten married and moved into an apartment that allowed us to have pets. Being that it was an apartment, with no yard we knew we would have to get a small dog, although my favorite is a Boxer. We set out to look for a small breed, chihuahua maybe? We decided to look in shelters first, and came upon Kent Animal Shelter in Calverton, NY. the very first dog we saw was very skinny, and pacing back and forth in his cage. Helmutt was his name, and his breed was Chihuahua/Boxer-- Is this possible? A shelter volunteer explained that it was...the Boxer was the mom. There he was, the perfect dog for us, he looked so skinny and sad, and we knew we could give him so much love in a happy home. How could anyone ever give him up? We decided to take him home that day, and stopped at Petco to stock up with all sorts of doggie treats. We finally bought a home, and really just did it so that Helm would have a big yard to run and play in. He loves his new house, and even has his own bedroom! Helmutt is amazing, healthy and the most unique dog most people have ever seen. I mean really who would have thought..... we love him!!!

Bio:
Boxer/Chihuahua mix breed....yes it's possible and Helmutt is here to prove it!

Whoa! Its been so long since I wrote... I had a busy busy summer! Mom and Dad are sooo busy working around the house all the time, fixin it up and worrying about the lawn... its ruff.
They went to Florida and left me with Grandma and Grandpa, I get to relax while I am there, everyone is so mellow! When mom and dad came home they were sooo mad because all the grass was burned, I liked it better though, its a great back scratch!
I hear they are going to Lake George with my other grandparents, (the ones with that spoiled old cat)...wish I could go...mom is too scared I would run away into the mountains and get eaten by a bear. Not me, I am tough! Nuttin scares me! 'cept the dishwasher, and the swiffer, and sometimes all the shopping bags that mom brings home.....
I will write more later.....
Kisses to all my fans!

Weekend at Grandma's

Hi Everyone. I am writing to tell you that my parents left me at Grandmas Tuesday night, remember that trip that Mom had to take to Vancouver, well Dad went with her, the nerve! Good news is that they left me at Grandma and Grandpas, they love me soooo much!
Tuesday night Mom and Dad were acting strange, saying things like "you are going to have soo much fun at Grandma's!" and "We are going to miss you"-- So we leave and Mom is crying- what a dork, we drive to Grandmas and she made them meatballs and macaroni, but none for me, I should have cried too, then maybe i would have gotten some. This is the first time they have left me in Grandmas new house, and I kinda like it, I get to lay in the sun on my long green leash, they don't trust me, they think if they let me loose I will run around, cause havoc and never come back..and it's true, there are so many things to chase and bark at.
I miss Mom and Dad, if you are reading this when you get home I am going to pee on your pillow again, and eat your socks just to get back at you for leaving me. It could be worse, Mom says, be thankful we don't have to leave you in a kennel. I guess thats true, I wouldnt want to be around other dogs, barking and smelling up there cages...ugh cages, I couldnt imagine spending three days in a stinkin cage!
I hear they are coming back on Sunday to get me, but I am thinkin I could get used to this 24 hour attention thing at Grandma and Grandpas!
Oh and if my other Grandma is reading this, I want to say I love you, and I am glad you are feeling better, when you come over again I will give you lots of Helmutt special kisses!
Miss you Mom and Dad....Bark!

Snowing...again

It's snowing- again...it really scared me this time, it was all windy and I was afraid I would get swept away and tossed over the fence. The weather man said 50 mile per hour gusts, plus all this snow, I can't take it.
Mom came home early so she could relax since she needs to got Boston tomorrow for work, but i didnt let her relax one bit, I jumped around and wanted to play...hehehhee my little plan worked, shejumped up played with me for a while and then put some peanut butter inmy bone so I could be "amused"...tee hee!
OH- I forgot to tell you that my Aunt Noelle, Mom's sister moved to Brooklyn, becuase she goes to school in the city and needed to be closer. I miss her, and her shoes, I love chasing her feet and scaring her with my "boxer" growl until she runs around the dining room table screaming...I always win. Mom is sad about it, becuase she lost her weekend shopping buddy, I am sure she will survive, she already made her self feel better with a trip to linens and things, Abercrombie, and of course, the Gap, what a remedy for sorrow....she's crazy.
I get to stay at Grandmas next week, when Mom and Dad go to Vancouver, mom says I BETTER BE GOOD, Grandma and Grandpa will get to walk me all over the new neighborhood they live in. I can't wait to jump on all the new people and win them over with my charm.
Okay gotta go suck all that peanut butter out of my bone, annoy Mom a little more with a few barking fits, Pretend I am a NASCAR racer and do ten laps around the dining room table, across the living room and over the couch, eat a few treats and go to sleep...
Ciao
