Arrival Story:
Well, she's not technically my dog(yet...maybe). One of my ex-friends found her, and dropped her off at my house and refused to take her back. Annie was SO SKINNY. You could probably count each rib from accross the room. Next, her toenails were like talons. Also, she acted as if she had been hit and kicked and abused her whole life...that's why I'm calling her Annie. It's from Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal"--the part that says "you've been hit by a smooth criminal"...."Annie are you ok?". yeah. It's been about a week and she's already gained weight and I trimmed her nails. She's grown very attached to me and trusts me and everything. She's friendly once she warms up to you...but it first shy with strangers and even nipped at my friend, but again, she warms up quickly.

This dog is VERY vocal. She barks to be let outside, she barks when you're putting food or water in her bowls, and she barks just to bark!(Or should I say "BAY")
Earlier I mentioned how she's not my dog(yet). See, I'm 16. My first dog was, of course, Shortdog. I was lucky to have him...then came Snoopy, and it was a miracle my parents let me keep him.(My mom's not the biggest dog person ever...dad doesn't mind the dogs)Then I got into showing, and that's where Jackson's story starts. I really love this little basset! My dad likes her too...I'm just hesitating asking him...I would have to solely take care of her financially...
but anyway, I'll keep you all posted on that.
But she's an excellent ambassador of the Basset breed!
