Arrival Story:
Destiny that seemed to be random chance. I honestly don't even know how we ened up downtown?? That day, at that EXACT time, we happened to walk by. This old man was trying to sell his Dog's last available pup..The girl I was with, Keegan, a Vet Tech who is totally obsessed with animals, already had a dog and she wasn't looking for another.. We still ended up going to "look" and some how, I knew when I saw her, Frankie was my Little Angel, she was an ity bity, rat sized baby. AND..She was the only one available...What was I thinking?? I didn't need or even WANT a dog. It was just me and I was barely getting by. I lived in the city, in an apartment, that didn't allow pets and to top it off, I was MORTIFIED of "PitBulls!!" I wouldn't even go in to LOOK at the puppies until they put Sadie, the Momma dog (who was as friendly as dogs come) in a totally different room. Even with her out of the room, it was very unsettling for me to be in the same house as a vicious "PitBull"! (I was raised to believe and really thought that they were ferocious monsters.) I knew my boyfriend would talk me out of such a bad decision..He wouldn't even let me get a hermit crab. But, when he saw her he agreed. We had to have her..From the day she came into our lives we've felt complete. She was that missing piece of the puzzel or the space to fill our void..Because of Frankie, look at me now.. My home is full of dogs in need, most of which are Bully Breeds! And to help our friends in need feel more at home and comfortable, we needed to be making more than we were! So, a couple years back we started our own little "Doggy Day Care". Through this I've been around, bonded with, gotten attached to and even lived with so many different sizes, breeds and types of dogs. I learn more everyday. But one thing I know for sure, I know that Bullys will always have my heart. Even with all the BSL non-sense and drama that surrounds my home state, with all of the bad attitudes and rude looks we get from the people who have no clue...We don't care! None of it matters to me the least bit..Because of my dog, who's my BEST friend in the whole world, Frankie. All of us thank you so much girl! If it's weren't for you, a lot of lives might not have been saved. You're the VERY BEST!!!
