Growing Up

My 8th week birthday was Thursday and boy have I been growing! Mommy and Daddy say that I'm getting bigger and I'm definitely peeing a lot more. I also don't take as many naps and can't sleep through the whole night anymore, which bothers Mommy when she gets home from working 11 hours and just wants to curl up on the couch with me. I'm enjoying life playing every moment I can and Daddy's shoestrings taste real yummy! I've grown from only liking my pink moose to playing with Raef and Keira's toys, as well as some bigger kid toys Mommy and Daddy have brought home for me or that I've picked out at the store. I know Mommy wishes she could take me everywhere and wonders if stores would let me in if I was in a nice, fully enclosed bag with peep holes. Daddy is my best friend during the day since he and I are home together. Raef and Keira don't seem to bother me much, although I wish they'd play! I try to approach them, but they just keep running away or Raef sometimes will pat me on the top of my head. I leave him alone then, but wish they'd sleep with me or something. I know they love me, though.

My Life Thus Far

It's been just about five days so far since I've been with my new family. I'm LOVING it! I get to play and there are two sets of feet for me to attack, as well as 20 fingers! There's two almost four-year-old kitties living with me, but they've so far refused my approaches.

Actually today, Keira, the female, was sleeping beside Mommy while I was sleeping on Mommy's pillow. When I woke up, I crawled on Mommy's belly and leaned over and groomed Keira a bit. I think this helped soften her to me since when I approached her this morning on the floor, she didn't run so quickly, but let me sniff her. Fortunately for Mommy and Daddy, Keira and Raef (the male) aren't treating them any differently. They're expressing their dislike at having their favorite seats taken by me once in a while (namely, Mommy's lap either on the couch or in front of the computer). I think we'll soon all get along, though.

Otherwise, I'm learning how to use my potty pad and am getting better, though I still have some accidents. I'm getting more use to my crate and am only put in there while Mommy and Daddy run to the store or if I can't be running around for any reason. I went the longest in there Friday and I think I was rather good.

I have a feeling that Mommy likes watching me while I'm in REM. Sometimes my left eye doesn't close all the way when I'm sleeping and so she can see the white of my eye while I shake and run in my sleep.

Speaking of sleep, it's time for a nap!!
