I'm growing up!

It's been a month since I broke my paw. I like to lay down on the deck and the stairs and stretch my legs right out under the bottom of the railing. My little friend cuncun came and startled me. Just as I stood up in a hurry, my paw broke. I was in so much pain and I cried so loud all the neighbors heard. I went straight to the vet and had an operation that day. They inserted a metal stick-thing in my leg and put me in a cast. I had to take medication for the first 10 days. Mommy wouldn't let me out to play and stopped walking me for such a long time. I got better though, I can walk and even play a little with my cast on. I do try to take it off all the time though. When nobody's watching I lick and lick and lick until the bandages are not sticky anymore and then I wiggle myself out of the plastic and bandages. Freedom! I've been to the vet a total of 4 times to have the cast replaced. My mommy and daddy were too embarrassed to take me to the same vet to replace the bandages so I went to two different ones. Now, when they leave, they put a big plastic thing on my head and i can't lick myself anymore. In two weeks, I'll be allowed to take the cast off for real. Happy days.

Two weeks ago (with my cast on and everything) I began my first heat. I'm usually very peaceful with my playbuddy cuncun, but lately I get very irritated with her and growl like a lion at her. My mommy sometimes puts underwear on me so I don't drip all over the clean floors. I dont mind them, I only take them off when I need to pee or poop and mommy finds my underwear somewhere in the garden, usually dirty. I cry sometimes because I want to get out into the street and play with my friend Demon. Demon is a red heeler and he comes just outside the gate of my house and waits for me, but I cant escape, especially with this cast on my leg! Daddy is trying to keep me away from every male dog...but I want to play with them sooo bad. Demon makes me wag my tail like I've never done before, he makes me so excited. When my leg is healed in 2 weeks, I'll be allowed to play with them and go for big walks at the dog park again. I'm looking forward to it.
