Since we are all dog owners here, kindly review this list I made so those new proud dog owners will find this list helpful in ensuring their dog is living a full life. This list has been so effective for me and my friends. Thanks in advance!
Deciding to have a dog in the family requires planning and time management. Make sure all family members supports your decision to own a dog to ensure your dog will feel at home. To keep your dogs' happiness level in control, plan his daily schedule which should include a healthy meal, daily walk to meet other dogs, daily bath, playing time, sleeping time, weekly drive, monthly out of town vacation to lakes or parks.
Make sure you can afford for your dogs vet visits and required vaccinations. Dog tag is important so people would know that your dogs completed his vaccines.
Choose the right food for your dog. Provide him a meal twice or thrice a day during mornings, lunch, and late afternoon or evening. Don't forget the vitamins especially Vitamin C. High quality, homemade dog treats are available in your favorite dog bakery store. One site I find helpful and inspiring to all dog owners is http://woofgangbakerylakewoodranch.com/category/health-and-w ellness. Check their website to find out more about healthy homemade dog treats for your furry friend.
Buy durable dog toys you know they will like. Observe what common household things your dog likes to get as toy and buy something that looks like that household thing from your favorite dog supply store.
During mornings and afternoons, take a 15-30 minutes walk with your dog which will give him time to socialize with other dogs in the neighborhood.
After a 15 minutes walk, bathe your dog and make sure he smells good and no fleas.
Allot time to play with your dog. It's the best time to teach him new skills and tricks.
Sleeping time should be a regular habit for your dog. Don't disturb him/her while sleeping.
Implement your plan for a weekly drive around your village with your dog. Open your car's window and allow your dog to feel the breeze while driving. This will surely make your dog happy.
Make every effort to implement your plan for a monthly outing or out of town with your family and that includes your dog. Great places to consider for a family outing are parks and lakes. No doubt everybody in the family especially your dog will love the spot. Perfect for running, fishing, playing, and swimming!
