Hello – please allow me to introduce myself – my name is Corrin. About 2 weeks ago, I was wandering along side a busy highway. A nice lady stopped and helped me get away from that dangerous road. I was hungry and covered in fleas – so bad that I had wounds and scabs on me from so many flea bites and my nails were grown out long and curved sideways. She took me home, gave me a bath, some food and took me to my foster mom’s house. I didn’t have a collar or microchip and my foster mom searched for about 2 weeks but could not find my owners. Can you believe no one was looking for me? Mom says I’m the cutest thing and very unique looking – almost like I couldn’t decide whether I wanted to be white or fawn, so I chose both! Even though I’m mostly white, I can hear. I went to the vet and was treated for hookworms, an ear infection and got a manicure/pedicure (my nails are normal length now so I can walk much better). Unfortunately, I have heartworms but mom says that we can treat that – it will just take about 8 weeks to go through treatment. I will also need to be spayed but mom wants me to get used to our house and the other dogs before I start treatment. At first, I was really scared of going in the house (I have never been inside before) but after about a week, I realized that this was AWESOME. I’m not in the heat or cold and have my own room (crate) with a soft, warm bed and two meals a day. I like treats and discovered what toys are but don’t chew them up or destroy them. I get along with all the dogs at my house (but don’t really like the mean old lady – she doesn’t like me and growls all the time). I will go in my room (crate) with a little treat to coax me and just lie down – I don’t make any noise or try to get out. I’ve learned to go outside to potty and come right back in – if you don’t hurry in this weather; you may get an icicle – haha! I take treats really gently, walk well on a leash (well, until you try to take me into a strange building). I need slow introductions to new things because I’m nervous going inside new buildings until I get used to it. I’m learning that the car is fun to ride in and I like to lie across mom’s lap and give her kisses. She says I have a wrinkly, smoosh face – I guess that is a good thing. I also wiggle my nub and like to follow mom around the house. If you are interested in being adopted by me, please submit your application and we can arrange an interview.
Nub wiggles, Corrin
